Don’t fool yourself. Lemmy has karma, it’s just not presented in the default UI.

I mean, personally I don’t really care. I think people mostly just use the karma system as a scapegoat for various behaviors that would happen anyway eventually without it. It’s just convenient to bitch about, that’s all.

If I have any position, I lean towards them having a net positive effect, actually.
