sadly theres a line between shouldn’t and how the market responds to it. Regardless of the fact, it is a hurdle, and the reason why not all of the top games on the concurrent player list on steam is playable on SteamOS, whether one likes it or not.

the biggest wall imo is still getting companies with anticheat games on board.
which is the same logic as a screen if it gets THAT bad. that’s not any real reason to complain about Oleds when the battery in it will die out sooner.
OLED screen replacements already exist on iFixit who is the repair partner for valve.
you can argue the “consumable nature” of li-ion batteries is likely to hit earlier than the consumable nature of oled realistically speaking.
I don’t necessarily say it is or isnt spotifies fault, but how I see it is music kinda changed due to the digital age. Before the digital age, most people mostly needed to get into, or the eyes of a record label to get anywhere, and that had its fair share of dirty laundry (e.g whats happening with P Diddy). The digital age flipped the book around, where being able to publish music nowadays is extremely easy, but the problem is you’re competing against a wave of other users. It’s also significantly more expensive to do live concerts nowadays too (which is completely separate from spotify) as more and more concerts are getting canceled
puzzle and dragons as a mobile game revolves around that idea for its non collab content.
Ghostbusters wouldnt even make sense as its not a ghost hunting game its a ghost identification game.
if I HAVE to use vga, and its only being used for 1 computer, than both, else none if im only using it for temporary reason , none.
the body at times is such a rudimentary way of regulating health, as increasing your body temperature to destroy the infection is like the emergency button
if you live in the bay area, youd understand who works in tech, and whose a tech bro, very easily.
linux has 2 really good target audiences people using it as a near chrome book like experience, and ultra advanced users who want fine control of the system.
its everyone else in the middle that needs to play how much do i have to tweak in order to do what I want.
which is the condition on whether a user wants to make it cheap, else you have to go theough the trouble of sideloading the requied stuff to turn the device into a mixedvr/piracy headset by cutting off the meta related services.
else the “cheap” option would be to go use older windows mixed VR headsets, or cheaper chinese options(e.g Pico Vr headsets), both having their own cost of using it, very similar to what you sign into for users who buy a phone, or a console.
they seperated facebook and made it specific to a occulus (meta) account. however at some point of having a meta account, there are methods of outright stripping most of the meta connectivity after granting yourself developer mode and sideloading changes.
its a standalone device that functionally is like buying a phone with a Snapdragon 865(for older quest 2 models). relative to what you’re paying for. It’s actually not that expensive in the grand scheme of other gaming devices, as its on par/cheaper than basiaclly all other mainstream gaming devices, and on the low end in terms of smartphone pricing.
as long as analogue didnt use the devices actual hardware design and code, its completely legal. theyre not selling you games, theyre selling you a piece of hardware capable of playing said games with their own hardware design.
i dont want to say emulation in a soft sense because its not software emulation, its hardware to hardware emulatoion.
do you not have like an air fryer or a electric grill/panini press you can use?
have you seen the sharp decline of fossil fuel based energy in some locations? The whole point in the necessary move for a battery storage in the long term is to minimize the requirement to boot up gas facilities after work hours, where peak power usage happens and solar is minimum.
The problem with global usage is poorer nations cannot afford to switch off dirty energy, and richer nations have a harsh post work hour usage. Lowering usage doesn’t fix the problem that there are dozens of countries that will still continue to burn dirty till some country invests in a cleaner option.
put in perspective, even though China and the US has the most power consumption, unlike GDP, it doesn’t take that many more countries after them to equate how much power they consume. So unless theres a global shutoff of power (which on its own, will have a plethora of long lasting problems if everything just shuts down), the best solution is to swap the type of energy that generates the most heat/green house gasses out.
we’re basically hoping the massive push to batteries/Solar by both China and the U.S is successful in the next decade as they are the countries with the highest KW/h usage to lay a gameplan to get neighboring countries to do the same if it proves to be fruitful.
you don’t have to onsider off platform titles on its own. just take proton DBs list and sort by playercount and youll have your handful of misses on some of the top currently played titles. that already filters the non steam games already, and it still has its small handful of titles not on board yet.
