What service do you recommend for writing formulas? I’m perfectly capable of writing my own, but I’m just so lazy now.

The best thing that came from that update! I still listen to it about once a month (it’s on Spotify, for now at least).
Thank you 🙏🏻 this is a great ELI5 for my smooth brain!
Man, this is what I fear trying to get into homelab’ing. I’m just so naive to networking I’m afraid I’ll break everything. The most I’ve ever accomplished was Plex on my PC, Plex app elsewhere and PC has to have Plex running to work. That and I built a NAS (when really I just wish it was a DAS I could tether to multiple PC’s at once), and I barely made it though tutorials to get that working.
I feel like I need to buy a textbook because I’m so clueless on the basics I can’t even get started, since almost any tutorial online assumes you know the bare bones basics. Like I literally don’t know what DHCP is, how it works, or even what it stands for.
At the very least your post has inspired me to try to start trying again. Maybe there’s a textbook I can pick up to start learning this super basic groundwork, or maybe a course online.
Based on the picture it looks like the spacer is just a ring around the middle, and the top and bottom seal the whole thing up when you close it. As long as you’ve sprayed non-stick spay on all the parts you should be able to pop the top and then lift the ring out and extract the entire giant waffle in one go. Then, I’m guessing, the ring can expand near the handles to release the waffle, and then you lift it away.
There are hot single chickens in your area!

Exactly. Not that you would need it, but it even gives an example image showing the inside of a room lol
“listen sweetheart, we’re in AMERICA right now, yeah? Well these were sent direct from the AMERICAN PRESIDENT, and you’re telling me they’re NO GOOD?”
For all of its faults, I’m just glad the zip ties and the fucking saws are gone. Hated those in PD2.
I love 99 boxes, but that’s only because of the sweet sweet XP glitch for weapons and skills, although it’s pretty easy to unlock all the skills without cheesing.
For those wondering, the exit zone/square thing marks the mission as completed as soon as you step into it, which is probably intended. What’s not intended is that on this heist every time you walk in and out of the square it counts as an additional completion. So if you want to level a gun just do a run of 99 boxes and hop in and out of the exit for a few minutes and then complete it (I usually trigger it 100-150 times to be sure). Gun done.
Honestly it’s the only thing that kept me playing for as long as I did, because trying to level the weapons is almost as bad as the infamy grind. Whoever pushed the progression systems through in this state should feel shame, although I doubt they’re capable of doing so.
I hope so. I was looking to get an Index but then saw rumors online about a possible new version, so I figured I’d wait a little longer for the new tech. That was two years ago 💀
Just announce the next VR already, please 😭
Seems like you’d have to jump through hoops to avoid updating and continuing to play it while connected to Steam normally. #1 you should go into the Properties of the game and set it to not automatically update. But that won’t fix your issue, as it will trigger the update when you attempt to launch it. Also set it to not allow updates while playing the game, just in case.
Some games you can go into the steam directory and launch the .exe yourself, and that might work. There’s also Steam Offline Mode, but you may want to set it up today before the update drops and test how it works (I’ve never used it). Maybe you’ll have luck disconnecting from the internet before launching the game after the update is available. If you’re not able to completely disconnect your machine for whatever reason, you can get a program like NetLimiter and block the steam applications from accessing the internet temporarily.

I use the same streaming apps on my phone as well, so they already know what I’m watching.
After hearing about one of the TV manufacturers that would take screen caps and read media file names when playing files from external storage I’ll never connect a smart TV to the internet again.
Considering that I have an iPhone, yes.
For anyone who doesn’t necessarily care about data collection and accepts that it’ll happen to some degree and you can’t escape it, and wants an easy experience without ad’s just remember to never connect your TV to the internet and get an Apple TV 4K for $150. The software isn’t jank like some android options, it isn’t sluggish, and you only need the one remote unless you’re changing inputs. I literally never see or interact with the menu of my smart TV and it’s great.
Alternatively you can cut it down and count the rings. HTH
That is wild. Someone was talking about being scared of clowns as a kid and it reminded me of this movie. I probably only caught 30 min of it on cable but it was so wtf (to a young me) that it was enough to never forget it. Never thought I’d see it come back!
