Ecosia is in partnership with Qwant developing a EU based indexer. Quite excited myself.
What-up fellow kids, you gettin’ indoctrinated by the man on the world wide web? Radical! 🇨🇦

They’ve stopped using exposed speaker grilles so you can’t shove a screw driver into the speakers anymore :(
Ad blaring pumps are in Canada too. Shell is the most obnoxious.
I know, I’d just rather torrent it’s faster than DDL from them and makes a big difference with multi terabyte romsets.
It’s extremely lame they can’t be bothered to fix whatever is wrong. They also don’t warn people the feature doesn’t actually… work. Why is it even an option on the page???
Please don’t give Amazon money for a shitty android stick. It’s rather locked down too and the GUI is ad riddled. A lot of playback bugs that I don’t have on a competitor product. There’s many better alternatives with less god awful remote controls as well.
Just make sure you’re not buying some generic Chinese thing with a compromised linux kernel.
Great speeds? Using Jdownloader2 if I go above 3.8MB/s with more than 2 connections I get throttled to worse than dial up speeds.
Occasionally it’ll hit a single game that’ll take days to finish for no apparent reason no matter what. It’s maddening.
Still better than archive.org’s broken fucking torrents that’ll never ever reach 100% completion. You’d think an archival site would care to fix that after YEARS for FUCKS SAKE, but nope!
The list of who not to avoid I think is much shorter.
That, and a lot of questions about ease of use too, but I answered them neutral because some are bears to set up, others are one click. Idk it depends.
I’m morbidly curious where the line is for a global shift. So far it’s invisible.
I do identify strongly with dbzero, but I had made an assumption based on the .com domain that’s proven false now. Didn’t look that hard while signing up tbf. It’ll probably be my backup instance should mine go bad somehow. Meantime mine is also piracy friendly and my community can be a coal mine canary, but I was told Fedecan policy changes nothing in this regard so far.
Yep and we’re part of Fedecan now.
Good* to know, that’s a relief!
You should assume that dbzer0 will eventually get a legal request to turn over records.
I assume then that dbzer0 USA owned/operated?
That was the insurance corp my career came bundled with for a decade until recently.
Sunlife. Finally very slowly replacing their garbage old website.
There’s bazillion of these videos, but here’s a good recent one (with benchmark) about the Frankenboards that’s under 10 min:
It’s not the same of course, but Cost of Living is a disaster here too, it’s why the youth are moving rightwards probably dooming us too unless Carney turns this shit show around.
I’m curious on the responses as potential long term strategy to stay in this hobby without financial ruin, but frankly I just got more creative sourcing parts.
Aliexpress mobile CPU frankensteined onto desktop micro ATX. Staying with 1440p. Buying used parts. Last gen GPU for 1440p has been fine. But that’s Canada, I know Australia is even worse off with tech prices.
Ah I remember hearing about some jabronies using leaked code, I guess this is the same bunch?
Or SpotX for Windows, you just paste and run a powershell command line.
The game was too memorable for me, dropped it quick. The same thing happened when I tried the Dead Space remaster.
There’s $140 saved. I miss demos, well, besides the indie scene embracing them I mean.
Nope!
