I found a picture of a taco bell menu from late 2023 showing the beefy 5-layer for $2.19.

(Pam meme) they’re the same picture
I mean, it does sound like y’all both saved yourselves some time.
It’s somewhat specific to someone with my type of background; namely growing up in a family of young-Earth creationist, fundamentalist Christians, and learning that things like science and evolution are lies from Satan.
At some point curiosity got the better of me and I realized I didn’t even know what evolution even is, so I read up a bit about it. Then a bit more. You know, this actually kind of makes sense. Eventually the rabbit hole led to the existence of God. I remember watching a bunch of debates and expecting the most learned representatives of our Christian tradition to make some really great arguments. And… they… never… did.
The elasticity of demand is not static.
Oh. That explains the earthquakes.
I got a bunch of different kinds of boxer briefs a few years ago, and I learned from that experience that there is a WIDE variety of quality and fit in this category. They really shouldn’t chafe or let your balls stick to your thigh, if they do I’d highly recommend trying a different brand or fit or whatever.
And we only got that because of government action, forcing Ma Bell to allow folks to use their own equipment.
Does WinRAR actually still exist? Is it in active development?
Being a child with an ear infection, rather than take me to a doctor to get antibiotics, my parents had my grandmother come over to pray for me and she told me that Jesus was my physician. I just remember wondering why my physician wasn’t fucking doing anything about it.
I can relate in that I’ve never had a desire for someone else to take my name. But my ex-wife wanted to take my name because it would replace her father’s name, and that name was problematic to her. She has since changed it to a name she chose for herself. When my current partner married her ex, they both changed their name to one they chose to identify their new family. Those all seem like pretty good reasons.
I got myself a Xerox printer because I figured I’d be familiar with the interface since all the offices I worked in had Xerox printers, plus I figured getting a near-corporate printer might keep some of the bullshit away since Xerox would probably not want to motivate their corporate customers to switch brands. AFAICT they probably get most of their business through service, not so much product.
So far it has worked out well. I have yet to buy a Xerox brand toner cartridge, and I’ve had this printer for several years and I keep getting consistent high quality prints. Some of the features are not super intuitive, but I don’t think it’s terrible to have to read the manual once in awhile.
It wasn’t huge in terms of actual numbers, but it still feels like my biggest win. I bought my first car for like $750. It needed some work, but I fixed it up. Before long, I crashed it. It was totalled. But, it was a 1973 Dodge Charger. I started pulling parts off of it and selling them on this new thing called eBay, and by the time I ran out of parts, I had made more than twice what I bought the car for.
Please direct me to anyone who has gotten Excel to run under Wine and documented the procedure.
Run Microsoft Excel
Oops my bad, thanks. I updated my comment to remove the misinformation.

I recently moved to a place with well water and figuring out how to get the dishes clean was a whole thing. For awhile I was sure we were gonna need a new dishwasher. There were wads of paper in various places in the machine, I’m guessing the previous owners didn’t bother taking labels off before washing them, but that’s not the point here. What ultimately worked for the mineral film was citric acid. There are citric acid dishwashing products, but you don’t need to spend a ton of money, it’s a common food additive and you can buy it super cheap. I got this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000OZFECU?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I just throw a spoonful in with the detergent once in awhile and the glasses come out sparkling!
Nearly everything, TBH. You just gotta decide which things are important to you. Like, do you do a lot of working on cars? Spend some good money on tools - totally worth it. Tinker with something once every couple of years? Cheaper tools will get the job done, and maybe last several years at that rate.
This is true of your blender too, honestly. I don’t blend stuff often and don’t really care, a cheap blender is fine for me. Anyone who likes blended stuff and uses it often? Totally worth getting something really good.
I am amazed at how often that gets considered an invalid email.
