Fuck now I gotta run from the law as well

I do not think Microsoft is afraid, I think they are just not that focused on the gaming market, yes they have a console and a bunch of game studios, but I believe that is right now a secondary focus.
No Microsoft is focused on the tech heroine called AI, trying to inject it wherever they can. They see this as the new frontier. So even though I would have loved seeing Microsoft scream in pain as they realise another competitor has actually a more enriching product that will eat their lunch, unfortunately they are in another boardroom discussing how they can get more AI, does anyone know where they can get more AI
On our mine we have a lot of systems to protect the tyres, and they are inspected regularly. Like if you overload your truck the truck will go automatically into creep mode to protect the tyres. We also have specialised services on site to inspect any damages and wear to ensure safe usage of the tyres, scrapping them way before the expected life span, usually at 50-60%. Repairs are also done but only if the tyres are not structurally damaged.
But proper standoff distance usually prevents any people or machinery coming into any dangerous situation of a tyre blowing out. The real danger of these huge trucks, we have the 350 Tonnes version, its collisions, can so easily drive over almost anything without knowing, so that is why we have a very far standoff distance, 80-100 meters to ensure no one gets too close. Also we have a collision avoidance system where the truck switches off when anything gets nearby
The one kid smashed a kid’s face into a toilet till it broke, toilet and kid’s face, and news crew came filming where we found out almost all our classes are made out of asbestos, late 2000s
So disappointed that no meteorologist said: “a meteor probably”.
I love Mint 22 so far, it really has matured where my home computer is running Mint is more stable than my work computer running Windows 11, luckily my company uses CrowdStrike so nothing to worry there.
But really I now recommend Mint to my non tech savvy friends and family, as a person who uses Linux should! But joking aside took my sister’s old laptop running Windows 7, slapped a SSD and upped the ram to 8 GB into it with Mint and she has been happy
I really hope this will be a lesson to other developers that signing up for Epic money to be an Epic exclusive means you exclude a huge chunk of the PC market.
Not an American but if you should have and every country should have a minimum age, like 21 because of mental and physical maturity, and a maximum age like 75, because of the risk of possible stamina and mental decline.
Your right, I don’t think anyone actively cares about Soviet eastern Germany anymore
Project Binky, albeit they work 50x faster than I have ever worked on a project
I did know they are already using the technology, so it is so cool for letting me know. Yes some data you do not need to have constant access, like security footage. Maybe 20 years from now a detective asks if you still have footage from that night where the serial nipple pincher first attacked, and boom they solved the mystery and Gotham will be safe again.
I heard tape drives might be making a comeback, due to increased storage capacity, like insane capacity if we use today’s technology. And a lot of data we have only needs to be stored and not readily available
There are problems with physical medium as well. My father and I enjoy physical CDs, in my opinion they are the best. Yet my father’s collection is over 20 years old so disks are degrading. My collection was destroyed during a house break in, they threw them on the floor and stomped on them, fucking hooligans. So I stopped with physical media such as CDs due to this
If there really is a good story that wasn’t told, which is possible in this time travel universe, then I am all for it. Like episode 5 of star wars, terminator 2 or even recent examples blade runner 2049, there was a story to expand on the previous, not imitate the original.
Unfortunately sequels and remakes are now cash cows to milk existing IP’s for easy cash with minimal risk, since they tap into the goodwill of the existing fanbase. It leads to dilution of the original because they don’t take risk with the pre-, se-, or whatever -quel, and it leads to an inferior experience for the fan.
Exactly my issue as well. An ROG Ally is cheaper than the cheapest Deck. And both are more expensive that the PS5 and Xbox X
How can someone speak such truth. Agree it is not perfect. But it just works and really well. Only big controversy I can think of is the website being hacked a couple of years ago, but they were open and transparent in my opinion about the hole thing. Also disto hoped a lot but I am always brought back to “green Ubuntu”. Can Mint team get ontop of Wayland please
Think of a balloon. Squish the deflated balloon as where everything was. All of it started at a similar point but then the balloon started expanding and everything is moving away at an accelerated pace from each other
Can we start a thread with like blocking words, but yes blocking makes Lemmy the best
