Well, let’s hope they can do something with it. I played the beta and was so disappointed I just downloaded Payday 2 and never even bought 3.
Whoever designed payday 3 should be fired. It’s nothing like payday 2 in terms of controls. The controls made sense in 2. In 3 I couldn’t figure out basic buttons without looking it up. Not to mention time and 3 others were stuck in the tutorial because it was bugged.
I wonder if those numbers have anything to do with the fact that Payday 2 is pretty regularly on sale for like $2,for a mature game, while Payday 3 is $40 for what is essentially a public beta based on the amount of things they’re having to fix/change/update.
Nah payday 3 flopped. They had stupid decisions that are fundamentally ruining the game and got rid of the people buying in early. It’s also unfinished as you mentioned. Can’t fully stealth heists - which a lot of people do in Payday 2 - the assassin gameplay and stealth are simple and really fun (when they work). The initial levelling system was bonkers.
It deserved what it got
Honestly, if the people in charge of 2 now were responsible for it all along it would be just as dog shit as 3. Payday 2 used to be fantastic, but I wouldn’t bother anymore.
I wish I could still play it as it used to be.
