Ya I’ll buy it at some point when it’s on sale but they tried to change too much and instead of sticking to the formula and improving what they missed or messed up on in 6, they just changed everything.
Literally everything about it was revolutionary. One of the first games to have primary/secondary weapons. One of the first games to have vehicles and special weapons in an “open world” map. Regenerative shields.
A lot of games had these elements but no one had all of them in an online multiplayer game for console. Console gaming was still growing and Halo set a standard for literally every fps shooter after it.
I can understand that people find it repetitive but spare us the virtue signaling. It’s just a game it’s not that deep.
You mean you didn’t spend a month playing gwent?
Halos multiplayer was revolutionary. I’m not defending it though. I never liked it either but you have to admit it was a game changer.
There only thing Reddit has over Lemmy is their awesome niche subreddits. Outside of that they have nothing and being more like Reddit is not something we want. With attention comes heavier moderation.
Who could have guessed u/CanadaPlus wasn’t American!
I bought my Xbox s for 200 new a few years back. Ps prices don’t get anywhere near that.
Not super in-depth like some of these other games but I love Snowrunner. I can count on 3 fingers the number of games I’ve spent over $100 on the game+ additional content in my entire life. Civ5, Civ6, and Snowrunner. It’s such a relaxing game but can definitely be difficult as well. Also i can play music at the same time and not miss any story because there isn’t really any story.
My coworker preordered one and before he got it he was excited. The day after he said he regrets it. 🤣
I honestly don’t understand the Nintendo glaze. Nintendo refuses to grow up with their customers. That’s why their games fall flat with casual gamers. Saying “It’s for kids” is so lazy. Kids don’t buy games. They did when games were $20-$40 dollars but that isn’t the case anymore.
Amazing game. Way more complex than Minecraft and 100 times more fun.
I noticed that too. Hot button issues it gets filled with shills for whatever side. It’s very annoying and obvious that it’s happen because afterwards the interaction will disappear.
That’s kind of where I am with it. Anything human led is suspect and I think any resemblance to “Jesus church” is long gone. I want to believe but I struggle with God being “just” but also allowing so much injustice.
If I had to put myself somewhere I believe in God but my faith for the rest of it is dwindling.
This was a thread for believers. Let them have this one.
Why do you need to be respectful? If this is even a real story just tell her you’re not interested and you’re married. It’s not complicated
When I was in middle school I was reading a passage of some workbook in Sunday school and it said something with the word “papi” describing how different cultures call their fathers, I guess in relation to how God is our father in heaven. Anyways when I read “papi”, I paused for a second, and absolutely lost it. I never laughed at anything so hard in my life.
Just the idea of calling God “papi” is absolutely absurd.
Close second is in the 9th grade in speech class someone dared me to do the monologue about tots for one of my speeches so I did. I couldn’t get through more than like 5 seconds of it without laughing.
Define bad. There is nothing worse than going into debt. As long as you aren’t locking all your income behind monthly payments, you can rebound from anything. The time you take to graduate is meaningless in the grand scheme of success.
One of my corporate managers took 10 years to graduate with a bachelors degree. He makes about $450k a year.
Oh shit that was me🤣
About 3 years I bought a mechanic set of ratchets and wrenches and some other tools for changing my own oil and some other auto repairs. All in I spent about $500. In July, I changed my own brakes and rotors and 2 vehicles I own. On that job alone I saved over $1000 dollars. Not to mention all the times I changed my oil. I also changed my spark plugs on one of my cars and found a gasket leak that I also fixed which was probably another $500.
Best investment of my life.
