I have found that this rhubarb has been a great companion for the apple tree as it shades the roots and competes well with the weeds such as the incessant and detestable buttercups

I did a nice strawberry rhubarb pie a couple summers ago that turned out nice 😋
In Dutch/Flemisch we call that “rabarber”

Perfect place for Rhubarb is early sun, and afternoon shade, regardless of what all the growing suggestions say. It grows wild where I am, and is always biggest in afternoon shaded spot. Tried growing some in full sun where I’m at, and the yields are never as good as partially shaded.
