Is it worth paying for a direct download website? When downloading for free it takes 6-8 hours (and for some reason it got interrupted and failed, so I have to attempt again) but if I paid for it I could download it in 3 minutes. I’m worried that the free version just doesn’t support having a download take that long, so it will be impossible to obtain.

I’m not sure if it is safe, nor stupid to do so though. Specifically, I’m talking about torbobit (dot) net

Would you consider torrenting (from non-private torrents) safer than ddl? I can either pay the ddl or a vpn and use a torrent. Idk.

Thank you.

If you’re only interested in a single file, ProtonVPN has a free tier. The speed should be plenty for a single ~600mb file.

I would spend the money on a VPN instead because:

    1. DLL links are always down, torrents can die too, but overall they are much more reliable, you can just have your torrent search engine to organise by seeders.

    2. Much more content on torrents

    3. Much higher quality, DLLs at least back when I used those had terrible quality.

    4. Much easier to manage 100 downloads at the same time, sure Jdownloader exists, but…

    5. RSS downloaded, you can get your favourite anime torrent or RSS and qbittorrent will download it for you every week.

    6. Security, if you download software, popular torrent websites are much more trusted and moderated and you have less probably of getting malware.

    7. If you subscribe to a DLL site you can use that single website, if you torrent you can download from many websites.

    8. You can use the VPN for other stuff.

Try Real-Debrid, it can be used for other things like media piracy (check out Stremio + AIOStreams) too

JD helps you manage slow free downloads, not have to wade through all those popups and misleading links to get through the actual download process.

If you actually have a paid user ID at the host, it can handle that too.

If you have a paid account you can provide it your login credentials and it’ll get faster speeds.

Without premium it’ll still work fine, and in my experience I get less failed downloads with it compared to just a web browser.

No, I don’t think it’s worth it because I checked rsload and v4.3.0 is avaliable there. DDL there are not speed limited. The version on Rutracker is older, v3.5.4 .

is it rsload (dot) net, org, etc.? I couldn’t find it on the megathread or from other treasures links. However, I did see this on Wiki Index’s list of unsafe sites

RSLOAD - Uploaded the same version of malwarebytes that got FileCR in trouble / Utorrent malware
