Journalists who examined her emails found them to be angry but not abusive, passionate but not unlawful. For civil-liberties campaigners, the case smacked of an MP unwilling to tolerate dissent on an issue where he is deeply invested.
I feel a bit one-note complaining about this one guy all the time but he really truly is the worst part of this government.
Holy shit. How is this guy not in jail? You can’t just order raids on people for disagreeing with you. Without even getting into whether she was right or wrong to be against those arms sales (she was right), her opinion is not unlawful and she didn’t do anything illegal or threatening in communicating it. She did what she is apparently meant to do as a responsible citizen; express her opinion to her local MP.
That’s terrorism. This man is a terrorist. He’s sending dawn raids into people’s homes for disagreeing with him. How does he still have a job in parliament?? What the fuck??
