    What do you mean by “techno-optimist?” Do you mean something like speculative writing on how a future socialist society may employ techniques like cybernetics in order to facilitate economic planning? If so, Paul Cockshott is seen as one of the better ones, though he’s a massive transphobe so be warned.

    Do you mean speculative fiction, ie sci-fi?

        Gotcha. In that case, here’s Towards a New Socialism by Paul Cockshott, but again, be wary of him being a huge transphobe. Red Sails also has a collection of modern authors, check them out. Sometimes they talk about speculation on future socialism and communism.
