    I meant Theroux’ interview, not his subject. He’s not responsible for the things his interviewees say.

      Theroux is responsible for whom he chooses to platform and what parts of an interview to publish. He knew this would be controversial, generate lots of clicks, and might lose him sponsors that don’t want to associated with radical rhetoric.

        You do know that’s the job of journalists right? Journalists have in the past spoken to many people it doesn’t mean they endorse those people it just means that the journalists want to get their side of the story. This includes pirates, murderers, and even dictators.
        You’re complaining that a journalist is writing articles that people want to read.
