A lack of alternatives is not an excuse to continue using something you don’t like. I honestly don’t get the culture around all the YouTube hate.

I don’t use shit that I don’t like. I don’t support things that I don’t agree with the practices of. YouTube treats its users and creators like shit. Know what?

They’ll continue to do so as long as people keep using their platform. That’s how it goes. It’s not going to change. And every workaround that is created, will get squashed.

People that are always complaining about it, and then continuing to use it just blows my mind. I’ll never understand it- even when people try and justify it. And that there are no alternatives basically just says that you’re willing to eat whatever shit they serve you, so long as you get your fix.

It’s an addiction at this point. You’re willfully enduring shit you hate so you can have moments of shit you enjoy.

(Not directed at you personally, just those that don’t see what’s going on)

The problem is, any alternative is shit, my preferred creator remain on youtube and i don’t want to stare at a wall when i am bored lmao.

Not using youtube is the worst thing you can do right now for your entertainment, what i do is using Revanced and on desktop Floorp + uBlock and i also try to support FairPlay (an alternative to youtube that is still in development) how i can (can’t do much rn but i can at least spread the voice)

I stopped using YouTube. It’s not hard. Especially when you come to terms with the fact that every video you watch is just telling them you’re okay with what they do.

We seem to have no problem boycotting things we either don’t use, or can easily replace. Don’t like a store? There’s plenty others that will be happy to sell you the exact same items….

But when it comes to actually boycotting significant things in our lives because they are toxic?

        Naaaah…

A store can give me the same item another sell.

Peertube can’t give me a video of TheLoneGamer or MorroLinux
