That’s still a no true Scotsman argument. But sure, let’s pretend that the trump shooter was a hardcore republican, it doesn’t change the fact that political violence is still being perpetrated against individuals on both sides.
Informing you that a right wing idiot tried to assassinate an ultra-right wing idiot isn’t a “no true scotsman” argument. You keep pointing to right-wing violence as evidence of left-wing violence.
That’s a straw man argument. I am saying
I’m arguing that this is a both sides issue from an attacked individuals perspective. Most political violence is the result of extremism and a lack of mental heath services. Framing the recent uptick as right or left won’t solve the core issue.
