That's why today, we're launching EFF.org/Age, a one-stop shop for users seeking to understand what these laws actually do, what’s at stake, why EFF opposes all forms of age verification, how to protect yourself, and how to join the fight for a free, open, private, and yes—safe—internet.

This has me wondering what’s going to happen to platforms like this. How would age verification even work here? Would it work?

    This isn’t age verification, it is ID verification. They don’t care how old you are, they want to know who you are.

      That’s true, but EFF needs to speak using terms people are used to seeing in order to reach as many people as possible. They always discuss the de-anonymization aspect of these laws, just not usually in the headline.
