These are SSD, not RAM.
I got the 64gb intentionally to just put in a 512gb myself. Was no problem to do, and saved quite a bit on the price difference. I’m extremely happy with the device, but don’t use it nearly enough.
I dropped in a 2Tb when prices were still good.
