Republican Doug LaMalfa, a California rice farmer who served seven terms in the U.S. House and was a reliable vote on President Donald Trump’s agenda, has died at age 65.
Agreed - it’s been that way all along, really. Dems just recognized the need to throw their constituents an actual bone once in a while, while Republicans were too self-centered to recognize how self-destructive they ultimately wind up being.
I’m hoping Progressives explode in popularity over the next few elections, and then manage to mostly live up to their potential. I don’t care if they do it from within the Democratic party, or form their own - they just are the only chance we have for things to be right anytime soon.
With the amount of dark money in congress “democrat vs republican” isn’t enough to assure a vote for common sense and human rights anymore.
