Straight to the top of the thread for you.
I’ve worked in 2 different schools in the IT department and 4 others as a volunteer lecturer (I got a name tag that said Technology Evangelist) I found that putting an analog clock on the screen saver of computers in the classroom was more likely to result in the clock actually being on time.
Too many clocks in classrooms are very old or even battery powered but neglected.
I don’t think kids are dumb just they aren’t getting a world that is properly maintained by competent people that care about their work and are adequately resourced to do the whole job.
See they’re having us fill the whole back up again. This isn’t a mass grave. They’re just putting us to work! See creating jobs why complain?

We have stopped sending weapons to Ukraine but have continued sending weapons to Israel.
Nothing about what you describe as is cut and dry as you are describing it. The easiest way to protect global trade from pirates would be to stop using global trade to arm psychopaths.
John Green is gonna be so mad.
My father used to make fun of me for saying that I could hear the TV on even if it was muted, or that I could hear the furnace ‘scream’ before it came on.
One year, I got as a gift for Christmas, a handheld recorder and a fancy microphone from my stepfather a university music professor And that recorder could actually record the sound which he was able to show me on the computer.
That was like 25 years ago, I’ve been working with computers ever since, and now I am familiar with many many many devices that make high pitch whines.
Palworld and craftopia seem to be the same framework so it I’m guessing they are gonna use some of the dump truck full money they got from palworld to contine their development process.
If this were a finished Palworld, it’s already more game than most AAA releases, and more stable at that. If anything, calling Palworld a beta at this point seems like they are trying to raise the bar for release quality in general.
It’s actually a pretty good metaphor. People sitting on the left side and the right side of the plane are actually taking a seat whereas people sitting in the aisle are just in the fucking way.
I thought that too. My (now windows only) computer has two M2 slots, I used one for Linux and one for Windows. One day I walked into my office having left windows running the night before and my computer had rebooted and updated, The first thing I did was try to boot into the Linux partition and it did not work.
Not taking that chance again, I now have two separate PCs on my desk.
At this point I just accept that my windows desktop is going to reboot itself and update itself every fucking night. I used to be able to leave it on for months at a time only rebooting when I felt like it and had prepared all of my open projects to be rebooted.
Now I do those projects on my Linux PC, which has to be a separate PC now because the windows updates completely screw up dual booting. Microsoft is such a shit show, I would probably only turn on that PC on the weekends except I need Windows for work.
The energy cost to build the car in the first place will never be offset by the usage it will see. You personally might be saving on fuel costs but the energy it costs to refine and build those things taken together with the opportunity cost of what doesn’t get built because of the limited supply of resources needed to make those batteries and the whole thing becomes much more of a gray area.
Electric cars aren’t here to save the planet they’re here to save the car industry.
I think even on balance, considering fractions of skeletons in whole people, you’re going to end up with more than one skeleton per person despite some of those people missing bones or limbs.
It’s like one sixth of a percent more than 1:1 if there are 135 million babies born each year on earth, but that’s not nothing.
I quit, gave 30 days notice, set about training my replacements and one of the bosses fired me 2 weeks into that period. They ended up owing me money.
It basically let me take a year off of work and just try out different kinds of art.
More arcade style multiplayer hack and slash RPG stuff in the spirit of gauntlet dark legacy or even something that stretches the concept like Armada 2 and makes it a space-based drop-in drop out multiplayer free-for-all frenzy that’s just for fun.
You should go out and find a good stick.
Really dig in her heels on the idea that 50% is not equal to 1/2. Thinking she must be joking I wrote a two-page proof explaining all of the reasons why 50% is equal to 1/2 and she was more than a little bit mad at me for not letting it go…
I ended up having to appeal to her department chair who walked into the room during my class, sat down at her computer, changed my grade on that test, and said to her, “I really shouldn’t have had to come down here to do this myself. I don’t want to have to come down here again. I’m asking you to drop it.”
She didn’t say another word for the rest of that class period and was not in school the next day. For the life of me I can’t understand what the fuck she was thinking was going to happen. Math doesn’t recognize opinions or authorities outside of math and she should have known that.
HoN was the superior dota successor.
