Sounds like being a project manager for a team of one coder AI, honestly quite depressing. You don’t get to do the fun part (coding) or you don’t actually get to interact with intelligent human beings (possibly only fun part of a managerial role). The only positive thing you get out of it is basically output (which may become unmaintainable for complex projects in the long run). Sounds like something that only CEOs and people trying to get rich quickly would like.

What is to be expected when the current trend among CEOs is to get the same stuff done with less employees and same salaries hence resulting in either you getting fired, resigning or doing x2 the amount of work with no real life improvements. Who would have the willingness to continue their side hobbies/project like contributions to open source when your main life is in shambles.

Imagine having a dedicated yacht hospital for yourself when most can’t afford decent healthcare. I hope people stop idolizing Gabe, he is just your run of the mill billionaire.
