Breath of Fire or GTFO

That’s what’s up… I’m looking for something new to play that’s outside my norm of JRPG/RPG/ARPG type game but it’s honestly been a PITA trying to find something.

This may not be the place to ask, so I apologize if I’m in error, but I know nothing about this game but I keep seeing it pop up. I never played the first one. Is it necessary to enjoy or can I pick this one up and dive right in?

Yeah, it’s been a long time since I’ve looked at and kind of RAID/Storage/data preservation stuff… like 256GB spinning platters were the “hot new thing” last time I did.

I’m starting from scratch…in more ways than one lol

Very cool, this is actually the sort of thing I was interested in. I’m looking at building a fairly heavy NAS box before long and I’d love to not have to deal with the expense of a full raid setup.

For stuff like shows/movies, how do they perform after recovery?

Yeah, that’s generally my consensus as well. Just curious if someone had a better way that maybe I didn’t know about.

I’ve never been a big fan of RAID for this reason… but I’ve also never had enough mission critical data that I couldn’t just store hard copy backups.

That being said… let me ask you this:

Is there a better way than RAID for data preservation/redundancy?

The Original RDR has been termed “sandbox with a 6-gun”. It is infinitely more approachable, and in my humble opinion, the better of the two by far. It has none of the survival/camp manager nonsense, just you and your horse and plenty of random shenanigans to get up to.

Is this repack worth $50? Probably not… but this is definitely the more enjoyable (in everything but graphics) game.

This is just awful…atrocious… how do I avoid seeing this in the wild?

That’s exactly it… I’ve found it’s way easier, and more beneficial, to do the grunt work in the fall and get ready for spring. The more work you do now, the earlier you can start next year.

With those little raised beds you have, I don’t think it would be difficult at all to extend a frame up and rig up some clear plastic to ward that frost off a while longer. Couple that with a heat sink like a bucket of water that absorbs heat all day and you could probably keep everything going a bit longer.

Nomura is retiring? Holy shit! That is the best news I’ve heard in years! Maybe we can start getting some decent fucking games out of Sqenix now…

I’ve skimmed the notes, is this one one that rips and decodes the download files or finds copies based on Metadata?

I wouldn’t mind to see a return to form for battlefield… maybe a more “realistic” type game, like the Medal of Honor reboot back on ps3 or the older BF games like Bad Company…

But this chasing the dragon trying to compete with CoD is going to cost them every time…
