Best option I have found is cloudstream though you might have to search a bit for the repos.

Install gtk3-classic
and force Xwayland by setting WAYLAND_DISPLAY=
if you want server side decorations. If you want theming, install libadwaita-without-adwaita-git
Whilst you shouldn’t need a hack like this, it seems to be the best way to resolve blinding white applications in the middle of the night.
How are people installing it on Linux these days? Arch specifically.
All I want is the ability to disable client side decorations without having to force xwayland with gtk3-classic
I just saw this and immediately felt struck with terror about how this will be used. Cops will fill it with tear gas and I suspect it will be used at ita full force against Palestinians.
Since scrapping systemd, a hell of a lot less but it can occasionally be a bit of messing about when my dynamic ip gets reassigned.
There are still a few instances about such as https://mw.lonelil.ru/
Mermaids are widely distrusted among the trans community as an org targeting trans youth with cis adults in charge. The wider community are mostly opposed to gender clinics however this pushes them in a more hostile direction, specifically because they chose to opaquely work with conversion therapist networks and no trans advocacy organizations.
In this case, they used an adaptation of Newcastle Ottowa scale, however they didn’t provide an appendix of what those adaptations actually were. The specific points were raised that the studies weren’t double blind, which would obviously be a violation of basic ethics in this case. There were multiple conversion therapists involved in the report so its pretty reasonable to assume malicious intent.
Alpine, by its use of musl
over glibc
doesn’t support DNS over TLS because the musl
creator believes its better for user experience. It is in theory but if the other end uses it, you are out of luck and will likely spend days troubleshooting why one bit of software refuses to connect.
The current Guardian editor, Kath Viner is quite closely in the organised transphobe clique on the press/academic/legal side with Helen Joyce, Maya Forestater and Kathleen Stock. The Cass report was quite openly leaked to most of those orgs a week in advance to give them time to prepare statements. Its a political farce to legitimize them and it holds up to absolutely no scrutiny. Its impossible and unethical to double-blind trans healthcare.
Its important to note that the evidence is there, they just applied an impossible and unethical standard to it to dismiss all but one study. Of those identified to be involved in this report, multiple conversion therapist organisations were consulted but no trans advocacy organizations.
The way in which they dismissed the evidence was notably the exclusion of double blind studies. Imagine if they said the same of cancer treatments.
PostmarketOS has had really strange priorities lately. I’m not a fan of the whole ethos of Ubuntu mobile (including their use of SystemD) but at least they have stuck to actually getting every feature working on some devices with reasonable specs. My computer uses KDE and OpenRC and has far fewer issues than it did on SystemD. This feels like a waste of resources to reinvent the wheel.
Chris Titus convinced Brodie not to make a video on it after Brodie took an active role and Chrisb took a passive role in the dogpile on Twitter.
If you are on Android, repainter can be really nice to find an accessible background/foreground combo using the new Material You theme engine. I get the impression it wasn’t designed for that purpose but it does the job if you try to use mostly Material You apps.
Its trickier to piece together what happened now but if you search “thorium browser furry”, you’ll probably find a few posts about it. There was a hell of a lot of misinfo including about it being CP for some reason when iirc it was just an anthropomorphic dog with the camera facing upwards towards them wearing panties or something like that.
De-arrow is a godsend for these thumbnails.
That being said, I set a “Don’t recommend channel” on Brodie Robertson because he took part in harassing a developer about some barely nsfw furry art being hidden in some software but refuses to block Nazis from his mastodon profile. It seemed like a double standard that demonstrated tolerance for said Nazis.
Let me know how it works out if you test it. I’m not particularly confident testing it myself because my system already has issues.
Anyone willing to test performance etc on Pascal? I’m not particularly confident swapping drivers back and forth since my system is already slow and unstable.
I’d love this for Artix because I just prefer the experience of runit
