Yeah I know everyone likes to hate on systemd, but I like systemd-boot way more than GRUB. It just does its job and stays out of the way, I never have to fart about with it at all.

I met Brian O’Halloran (Dante from Clerks) once and he was super nice. We bullshitted for ages and he signed a thing for me.

As an animator, the client simultaneously knows everything about what makes a good animation, colour theory etc. and is utterly incapable of doing it themselves or providing any specific feedback beyond “I don’t like this” or “make it feel more pink but don’t actually make it pink.”

This state persists until you introduce an invoice for all the extra work it’ll take to redo all the stuff they agreed to two weeks ago, and then the waveform collapses and suddenly everything you sent them in the first place is fine.

For a specific example, Ozzy Osbourne has some Neanderthal DNA which might possibly explain why he’s still alive lol

Plus the two aren’t mutually exclusive. You could just as easily go to prison and then just be abandoned there once the climate becomes uninhabitable anyway. Wouldn’t be the first time:

There was a news story recently about a virologist who possibly cured her own stage 3 cancer using this technique. Obviously more study is needed but it looks promising!

My setup is:

• Arch (BTW) & KDE on my laptop, that’s the tinkering machine that only I use.
• Dual boot Pop!_OS & Windows on the desktop, that’s the one that other people use too so I’m not allowed to break it.
• I also have a bunch of other OS’s in VMs that I mess around with like little specimen jars lol

There’s also QuickEmu which is really handy for spinning up a pre-built VM to just fart around with.

I do! KDE widgets always seem to end up bugging out for me but Conky is always nice and chill.

The laptop is a little faster, and this way I can still play games on the Steam Deck while the installer runs on that lol

Yeah same here, I just install on my laptop using Lutris and then copy the installed folder over to the Steam Deck and add the main .exe as a non-Steam game. (And turn wifi off just to be safe.) Always worked fine for me so far.

Not downvoting, but I do quite like that Floorp is just a bit weird. It makes it more fun to use lol.

I find AI is useful for doing piddly crap like writing cover letters and boiler-plate emails, the kind of stuff that requires zero brain-power but takes up time in your day. I see it as like having a secretary that’s not quite competent enough to trust with anything important lol. It can be disastrous or handy, depending on how it’s deployed.

For whatever reason, we’ve decided as a society that women wearing wigs/weaves/extensions to make themselves feel attractive and nice is perfectly normal, but if a man does it it’s laughable and pathetic. I say, wigs for anyone who wants them!

I think also some people who feel like they can’t be as openly homophobic as they used to be in the 80s/90s/2000s have just transferred their bigotry onto trans people instead because they think they can get away with it.

Yeah I think once games reach a certain level of hype there’s almost no way to release them without getting a big backlash. People (IE gamers) tend to build these things up way too much in their minds and go in with really unrealistic expectations.

I think it wasn’t a bad game, it just wasn’t a great Mass Effect game. If it had released as it’s own stand-alone thing and had been marketed a bit less grandly I think it would have been a lot better received.
