Wasps are just as important in most ecosystems. They prey on pests, are pollinators, and act as decomposers. The only species of wasp you should hate in the US is the only one that is invasive: the Asian ‘murder’ hornet.

I’ve been a listener of all types of jazz for about 15 years. In my experience, Japanese jazz is akin to having one of those YouTube ‘chillhop lofi Jazz’ live streams up. It isn’t super technical and gets a bit repetitive to me, but it’s nice to have on every now and then while I’m trying to multitask.
I figured it might have changed considering the last time I ordered something from there was about 6 months ago
You still get free shipping as a non member if you buy like $25 worth of shit. And you might get it in 3 days instead of 1 (the horror)
But yeah, that’s about all you’re getting and no it’s not worth it.
Just because things worked out for you doesn’t mean they work out for others. You’re not taking crazy pills, you’re lacking empathy and seem very out of touch with reality.
I mean, I’m watching Righteous Gemstones right now and loving it for what I thought was just a funny fictional show.
Then I learned that even celebrities still share stuff to social media about supporting these rich fucking leeches. Nothing surprises me anymore. People don’t think about the climate or Earth’s finite resources or ecological collapse. Because as long as some rich fuck with a platform gets on it and says, “That’s not true,” their followers will believe it.
And yes, I’m referring to uneducated religious people, which take up around half of this godforsaken country.
Weird, I just typed this word for word on another meme in this instance.
Where are these 11/10 meme bangers coming from!?
Doing God’s work
Part of the problem with our society is people are so quick to throw perfectly functional shit away because advertisements of all sorts convince them that there is something better out on the market now and that what they have is outdated. The quality of products as a whole have gone to shit because people would rather buy cheap knockoff garbage every 6 months and throw it away than buy a quality product that, with some care and attention, could last decades. I’ve had a lot of luck over the years being patient and browsing all the sites like craiglist, Facebook marketplace, etc and buying the few remaining top-of-the-line brands second-hand (or sometimes even for free) and making it new again. I’ll get off my soapbox now.
A way to combat supporting the asshole directly is to find and buy one second hand. Even swapping out a simple part for <$50 can extend an $800 vacuum cleaner by several years.

I’m so stoked to see someone type like this on Lemmy. This place needs more…Eric Andre.
