Can you provide more details? What you’ve described so far sums up most RTS games. Was it real time? Turn based? Were the units modern day? Historical? Sci-fi?

Unfortunately, it looks like gamescope just isn’t going to work for my system.
It didn’t seem to have an effect, unfortunately.
I’ll take a look into that. This laptop is using one of those hybrid Nvidia GPUs, so it took me a bit to work out the performance issues at first.
I’ll give that a shot tonight and let you know
It does not seem to work for me. After inputting
wmctrl -a helldivers -b toggle,fullscreen
I just get a quick black flicker and it goes back to minimized. I also tried changing the win argument to :SELECT: from the documentation you linked, but it still doesn’t pull up the window and keep it there.
The command does work for other windows, for clarification.
An extra detail: I’m using 2 monitors. When playing with borderless window and moving the mouse rapidly, I’ve had my mouse escape the focused window a few times and start clicking stuff on my desktop.
From what I’ve looked up, it does. However, at some point the ability to change border settings in Themes was removed.
I just gave that a shot. When I come back and re-fullscreen, the game minimizes and goes back to the problem state.
It’s more than finished. It’s been expanded after release several times. Not every game should be a forever game.
How so? They collect a higher minimum wage, and they aren’t taxed for honestly reporting their tips.
With physical copies of games essentially being non-existent, there is absolutely no point in pre-ordering a game. Hold on to your money, and wait for reviews.
I’ve purchased many games at $40 or less over the past year that have given me hundred of hours of joy and entertainment.
If I spend almost twice that price on a game, and it’s unfinished, buggy, and heavily monetized; you can bet your ass I’m going to be upset.
It’s not about the cost of development. It’s about quality of the experience. For indie devs, the game has to be good to do well. For a lot of AAA studios, the game is merely a product that only has to be as entertaining as it needs to be for them to make enough profit.
I’ve played with randoms many times. Most people have been good to play with. I highly recommend it.
Considering I’ve been playing HD2 all year and I’m still loving it, my vote is for HD2. They did a fantastic job on the recent balance overhaul (dubbed “the great Buffening”).
Donk is a 2nd or 3rd date kind of genre.
I think that perceived smoothness from 40 fps comes from the LCD screen they chose, and using a controller. Docking the deck to a monitor and using a mouse makes it much more noticeable; but running games at 720p makes it much easier to hit 60 fps.
The biggest spooky factor of Subnautica was being alone and surrounded by the unknown. I guess they aren’t going for that this time.
Compared to the first, Below Zero was okay. I predict their third game is going to be “meh”.
My yard, my lack of rules
That was my first thought when I saw OPs screenshot. I still hear “check 6” in my head every time I get zoom and boomed in War Thunder
