And the opposite of this, if the menu is plain text and pictures of food that were taken with a digital camera from 2009 then its going to be fantastic
Besides the obvious like surplus labour value being stolen by my boss I’ve been stolen from a couple of times. I had my car broken into once (I accidentally left it unlocked since I had a family emergency to get to), they stole my jacket and some change out of the cup holder. I didn’t really care since I had more tragic matters to deal with at the time and if they needed to steal my jacket they needed it more than me. I was/am lucky enough to have a spare so I really didn’t think much about it. They did leave a half carton of coffee creamer behind though, I was a little confused about that
Either the worsening wildfire smoke blankets (do these have a name aside from just saying its smoky af?), one of the heat domes from recent years, or one of the bouts of terrible snow storms/deep freezes
There are independent/smaller devs that still carry that tradition
Concerned ape “yes I’m still updating this 8 year old game for free that I sell for $15”
I grew up with very limited access to the Internet or even TV and I am so thankful my parents made that decision
Ok I’ll admit it, I’m only learning Russian so I can better pirate games and other software. Digital scarcity isn’t real
Fun facts, back in the day people would often move their entire camps to the site of a moose kill rather than trying to transport the body any distance, it was easier to pack up and move everyone than drag a moose through the forest and brush
Al Jazeera, Telasur, and CBC for the most part, though no where is perfect and all have their blindspots/weaker areas. Plus a bunch of assorted other sources on a lesser basis (BBC, guardian, independent, fox if I want a peek into brain) and hexbear news megas of course

You forget that paper is from the mid-80s. I don’t understand why people think they just stopped replacing birds. The authors of that paper based it all on declassified documents that were almost 30 years old even then! If anything the government just got better at hiding what they were doing, mark my words in another couple decades it’ll come out that it’s not only the pigeons and starlings that have been replaced but also robins, seagulls, and a variety songbirds!
This is clearly just a limited hangout so they can say “look at how crude our taxidermy robots are! This totally proves birds are real!”
The government wants you to believe they aren’t capable of creating the omnipresent surveillance network that are so-called “birds”. We’ve been under this surveillance since the early 60s when the government avian extermination program was in full swing. Why else do you think they were so gung-ho about DDT? It helped provide smokescreen for the avian replacement system experiment. Wake up, Birds Aren’t Real
I always wanted to be a train engineer, but being colorblind makes that impossible
Oh God was Alex Jones right?
Definitely the Soyuz, it’s hard to beat the safest and most reliable spacecraft
If we’re talking fictional I’d say Serenity, I love what’s essentially a tramp steamer in space with little nooks and crannies for less than legitimate cargo
Going by their username I’m guessing they’re from Australia, a country that famously has never been a stooge of American imperialism
Yo, can you pm me with info on that modded Spotify? Thanks!
If you don’t have one already you should get a slow cooker. Super easy to make all sorts of meals, just chuck some stuff in it in the morning and come back some time later to a delicious hot meal.
Ugh I dunno if I just noticed it but the spread of “only x small payments!” financing for the smallest purchases can’t be a good sign
