I’ve started using Dutch in 3 Months, by Hugo. Ignoring the timeframe the title gives, it seems decent because it has an app alongside it for hearing the pronunciations of each word, so you learn to speak and read essentially at the same time.
I got my book online.
For me, someone who has struggled with stress eating (often with junk food), the price increases with the junk food items alongside less and less multi buy promotions for them have been encouraging me to eat better, make my own food etc.
I am not blaming the availability of these unhealthy items as the biggest issue, and I acknowledge it’s an internal situation more than anything, yet these initiatives have been a welcomed push to get me in the right direction.
It’s just a good influence.
When I was a young teenager, I turned on the telly to Nickelodeon and they were showing an episode of Ren & Stimpy.
The scene I turned the TV on to involved him grating the skin off his arm, followed by him pouring salt into the open wound.
Absolutely mad show, I have always wondered the same lol.
Seems to me that these days, with a lot of issues fragmented in our society, different bands tend to focus on certain issues - although there are some exceptions, yet this is also just based off what I’ve noticed.
Bob Vylan has been making the rounds, Kendrick Lamar has also been outspoken on some injustices over the years. Lambrini Girls focus on sexism in a rather angry manner. IDLES have some songs regarding frustration with aspects of society, however they’re not as detailed in their messages yet they still provide the energy for them.
Kneecap have been speaking about the situation in Palestine in a rather political manner, and have great pride for Ireland - they sing mainly in an Irish language, however great energy for the message.
If you go a bit further you have Bloodywood, an Indian metal/hard rock band focusing on various issues (I think one of their songs talks about punching rapists in the face).
Just some off the top of my head. They’re out there for sure.
Whilst this is true, it’s also a good reason to move to self hosting if possible.
I’ve been slowly removing my reliance on these ad filled services, even though the apks I use have ads removed, and this news just gives me more reason to ramp this up since these same APKs may no longer work without some trickery by 2027 (if they go with this plan).
Still, this all seems like constant patchwork as any and all effort is being taken to rid ourselves of control over our devices. It’s an iffy situation and I just hope people smarter than myself will continue fighting, in some manner.

Never get a spouses name tattooed. I was told not to, and I should have listened. This was 13 years ago and I will be finally getting around to it this year.

The reason it’s a waste is because it’ll cost £5-600 for a decent cover up. Essentially I got this to cover up… Terrible decision.
I have a variety of tattoos, and I only regret one of them. Still proud of the others decades later.
I bought a large jewellers loupe for checking my plants, yet I swear I’ve used it more for reading tiny labels. Comes in handy, some texts are miniscule (one of my nutrient bottles’ instructions is as small as OP’s example).

To be fair it would be illegal to do so outdoors.
I save up for the Netherlands. There are enough places to just get a peace of mind, away from people, with a nice spliff and no one to bother me about it.
I’ve been three times within the span of a year, and will be going back in a few months.
You can never be too serious about skincare.
I have a small hammer I use, to lightly chip away at the wall tiles to provide both exfoliation, a back scratcher, and acupuncture all in one.

This is what I use. Stremio, Torrentio add-on for Torrent sources, and a bit of tinkering so I don’t see the paid options. Works pretty well for single episodes of some shows (for others I download the box set).
Edit: I mean it works for full shows, but when I really like a show enough I’ll have a hard drive copy.
Probably for the experiences. The sort of things kids do in these schools seem more lavish, I mean, as much as I enjoyed my school trip to a farm I’m not sure if that’s the sort of thing they’d consider.
Although David Cameron did shag a pig, so not sure if that’s true for all of those schools.
When I was in university, one of the source materials required was at an absurd price. The lecturer made a point that it makes no sense to spend that much money on something we are unlikely to use beyond the module, so she encouraged us to use Z-Library and provided links. I really miss her, she was an absolutely fantastic lecturer.
People online don’t always seem to realise that the Daily Mail is considered THE worst newspaper publication, in the entire UK. It’s the sort of thing you wouldn’t pick up to line your floor for a new dog.
