As an American I can assure you that the vast majority of people flying American flags here are bigots. American leftists would easily understand your point about English/British flags.

Damn I had no idea even people as experienced as you were having a tough time. I’m a new grad and I spent two years searching for an internship and found nothing. I got two interviews at one company but they chose someone else. I’m making projects (currently teaching myself spring boot rn) and I’ve had a professional look over my resume and still nothing. Shit sucks right now :(

Instead of a standalone product, JetBrains is pushing Aqua’s functionality into the Test Automation plugin. This plugin is available for JetBrains’ more established IDEs, such as IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, PyCharm, and WebStorm.

Hate, insecurity, intolerance, and ignorance are the foundation of their ideology. I’m not proud of myself at all for this, but I got sucked into the pipeline when I was a young teen. However I am proud to say that I did fortunately manage to pull myself out of it and I’m now a socialist.

While I hate that I got sucked in, it does give me a lot of insight into why they are the way they are. They start by targeting common insecurities which they use to lure people in, and then they feed them lies while appealing to those insecurities. For example, I remember being a lonely teen and watching mgtow 🤮 videos and the gist of the videos was that if you joined their “movement” that you would get laid all the time, and of course that video was ridden with a shitload of misogyny and lies. Then from there it snowballs into more and more hatred and lies.

Conservatives are just sad, narcissistic losers who are incapable of understanding that people need to lift each other up rather than putting each other down. That’s why conservatives like to brag, because they think putting others down is how they get lifted up.

Being knowledgeable is a good defence against their tactics since their lies become obvious and it quickly becomes evident that they are fools.

I use obsidian for just text stuff I need to remember later. If I need to do math or need a diagram temporarily I prefer pencil and paper. If I want to save diagrams for later I have a drawing tablet that I use like a whiteboard so that I can save and use layers. If you don’t have a drawing tablet Autodesk sketchbook is a decent substitute that can be used on your phone.

I just recently switched myself from a crusty old Motorola to a Pixel 7.

Only thing I hate is material you, which isn’t a grapheneOS specific thing so I don’t fault them for it. Otherwise I am enjoying grapheneOS so far.

I’m also ex-catholic. I left about 6 or 7 years ago, I don’t remember exactly when. For most of those years I’ve been an atheist and didn’t want anything to do with religion or spirituality at all.

Recently I have been thinking more about spirituality and I have looked into paganism a fair bit. Idk exactly what I am but I view nature and the universe with the same reverence that one would give to a diety, although I don’t view them as being sentient or really personify them in any way, but I think there is something special about them and appreciating them satisfies me spirituality.

Yep. Multiple times I have had Google maps direct me to back employee only entrances instead of the regular entrances. Sometimes it seems like Google doesn’t even recognize that the front entrance even exists.

Yeah, I forgot that there are different variants better suited for cis women. I’m pretty sure you’re correct that she does need something a bit different.

I am a trans woman so I understand how it feels to not have the hormones you want in your body. It’s literal hell. You are allowed to have your own feelings, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Your wife’s mental state is just in the gutter right now and that’s why she’s lashing out at you.

I’d recommend seeing a professional so she can get prescribed estradiol. That’s really the only thing that’s going to fix it.

I’m currently using Kubuntu, although I’m planning on switching to Debian or maybe NixOS at some point. Kubuntu works, but I don’t like snaps, and even though I’ve removed them I’d rather just not ever have to deal with them.

I first started with Mint, but didn’t like gnome/cinnamon which is why I switched to Kubuntu, but other than that it was fine.

I forget what it’s called, but there is a 3rd party application that allows you to play the mobile version on Linux. I only use it to play with my cousin since she can only play on Xbox, and it works pretty well.

That happened to my sister unfortunately. She tried to transition her account and kept getting strange errors and minecraft support was very unhelpful. I ended up buying her a new account for her birthday, which I’m glad we can play together again, but it sucks that some strange bug took her account in the first place.

2. Change the driver to see if I can fix a weird graphical issue I was having.
3. Rebooted computer and got stuck in boot loop because there was an error with the driver.

Yeah I know. Still have to pay for license though unless you like having the activate windows watermark in the corner.

I switched to Linux a few months ago after building a new computer as I didn’t feel like paying over $100 for an OS that has ads in the start menu and spammy popups.

Almost all of my games work fine and don’t have any issues with lag. The exception is GTA V which doesn’t work at all and Sims 4 which works fine but EA’s launcher has given me a few issues.

You shouldn’t have any issues with document editing or web browsing. In my experience printing actually works better on Linux than it did for me on Windows.

If you want you could dual boot or keep an old windows system around to play games that aren’t working on Linux, but in my experience, most games, especially indie games, work just fine on Linux.

I don’t use it because it makes blender run at like 5 fps for some reason.
