  • It should be, but vampires are alluring which belies their evil. That’s the cautionary part of the fiction.

Is Bezos a soulless ghoul cannibalizing the festering, necrotic wound of poverty which he grows larger every day? Yes, and in no way can that be conflated to being sexy.

  • Humidifiers.

It’s just a pool of water with a little nebulizer and a fan to blow the mist out a chimney.

Trouble is, they’re all made by the fucking plague demon Nurgle with the sole purpose of aerosolizing mold and bacteria by having the tiniest nooks and crannies than cannot be reached to be physically cleaned.

And before I get the “you gotta clean it with vinegar every week” comment, two points:

    1. You don’t soak your hands in soap and rinse them off and call them clean. You gotta scrub them.
    2. Am I supposed to fill a 5 gallon bucket with vinegar to soak the whole water tank every week? Because the chimney goes right through that bitch.

“Freedom” to “free market” types is the freedom to do whatever you want with no consequences regardless of the impact to others.

“Free market” means if you get duped or swindled then “you deserved it”.

“Free market” means if it really causes harm then “people just won’t buy it”.

“Free market” is way more what most people think anarchy is than what anarchists are advocating for.

Anarchy is “if I want to do cocaine and I die, that’s on me, the government shouldn’t be allowed to control what I do with my body”

Free market is “we should be allowed to add a little bit of cocaine to this baby formula so our brand beats out the competition and no one should be allowed to tell us we can’t”

  • You’re right in that this is not how families should be. They should be people you care about and trust.

Your family does get a pass for being family; you maybe don’t share the same interests or lifestyle that would otherwise form a distance in childhood friends that eventually fizzles out, but with families this shouldn’t be the case.

But then sometimes your family members end up (or you discover) they are bad people. Yet even then you may stand with them as they sell drugs or rob people or even have killed people; they’re still family and what they’ve done can be understandable even if wrong.

Then there are Nazis and Nazi sympathizers, apologists, and supporters.

Families should stick together, but people also shouldn’t be Nazis. So here we are.

  • That’s not it at all. Literally, my children told me, “I don’t want to go up, I just want to go to the houses with bowls”. But it’s not a lazy thing, it’s a social anxiety thing. We don’t chat with strangers, we don’t make small talk with people we don’t know, we don’t ask people things we can find out without asking people things. We’re socially awkward parents and we have socially awkward children.

Millennials, the ones who would much rather text than call on the phone their dearest friends and closest relatives, are 35-40 years old. They’re the ones with halloweening children and those kids are just ask averse to face to face interactions with neighborhood residents as we are.
