Do websites come under the remit of self hosting?

Personally I host static websites with GitHub, cloudfront, netlify, onrender etc. Trivial to setup, more reliable and better cdn distribution. Anything dynamic lives in a data center rather than a self host setup.

Fair, but you were asking how people approach security for self hosted solutions and I guess I’m challenging why anything needs to be public. Self hosting is typically for your own services which can usually be hidden behind a VPN.

The exception I guess is email, but I never understand why people attempt self hosted mail servers

Don’t expose anything publicly, instead setup wireguard for every VM. Connect your phone, PC etc to the VPN so you have full access without publicly exposing anything.

Newly engaged mid level male employee was making out passionately with the female office assistant half his age. Both extremely drunk but that’s no excuse to be such a pathetic cliche.

Easter isn’t really a big deal in the UK. I’d expect places to be closed over Christmas but probably not Easter.

There may be reduced opening hours and smaller venues and shops may be closed but London is a vibrant city so I expect you’ll find plenty to do.

If there are specific places you want to visit it might be worth checking their website or emailing them to confirm. Or just try booking tickets for those dates and you’ll see.

If anything because people have time off you might find there’s more going on at Easter than other times. You’ll certainly find egg hunts and other such activities for kids at tourist attractions

Is anyone able to read IPA without that key? This is where I get lost. It’s an entire new language for a very specific thing so I can’t imagine anyone but language scholars finding it useful

How does one actually read these? Wouldn’t phonetic spelling be infinitely more digestible?

I tried to setup Loki but the documentation was atrocious. Everything was outdated, referring to tools that were marked deprecated but documentation for the replacements just didn’t exist.
