Spinrite ftw
Just a shiny male toy…
Spinrite ftw
I’m using apcupsd for my server, even wrote a little script to pull wattage off the apc and report it in byobu’s status bar. Anytime I ssh into my server I can see current wattage (usually about 55W for 4 spinning rust drives, 2 SSDs plus the router).
Nah, I like using C for low level stuff, it balances that it’s reasonably high level and procedural with pretty great performance, size and flexibility. ASM is faster, but you are slower when it comes to understanding someone else’s work.
For projects that aren’t size or performance sensitive, write it in python or whatever the fuck you like, idgaf.
Nah.
Dude, seriously. The only time I genuinely had a problem with a server that being kind & trying to talk couldn’t resolve, I politely told the manager I wasn’t comfortable being there, paid for my drink and canceled the food order.
No need to make a big deal out of it, and once you get on a server’s bad side, fuck it.
Big fan of trip-hop & liquid DnB.

I’m interested in supporting mutual aid. Any good reference sources?
Sounds on brand.
Yep. I’m on a bike older than me, she’s light and dependable even in the Seattle rain. Street bike, but I still camp with it 👍
Be safe and don’t forget to get there, https://shouldispeed.com
I really, really dislike the guy, but if he didn’t actually use imagery from the film… Does this suit actually have standing?
C’mon guys, cripes. What are we doing here, feeding lawyers for the sake of feeding lawyers??
First wall problems compounded by geometric constraints, fueling, magnetic & corresponding mechanical complexities, particularly over long periods of time where material fatigue sets in due to coils applying heavy, dynamic loading… there’s a lot against tokamaks.
They seem to impress people, and we could all use novel research into MHD. But @Blackdoomax@sh.itjust.works is kind of correct.

I work in energy r&d, and have for several jobs over the years now.
My sadness is transmuted into passion for solving these issues from the ground up. Top brass is interested in “stock options” and blah blah blah, I’m just focused on solving technical problems to make efficient, powerful energy production that isn’t hard on the earth.
The money won’t matter if there’s nowhere to live. My efforts may not be enough, ultimately, but I’ll die knowing I tried to help solve the problems we’ve caused.
I’m not gonna do that, fuck that. I do hope this much screen time is ok for kids, even as a young programmer I didn’t have an iPad everywhere. Nobody seems concerned about their privacy, but guess what: neither did my millennial peers.
I think everything will be ok with alpha and Z. Let’s not repeat our the mistakes of our parents.
No worries, and whatever you choose will be better than stock, calyx graphene or lineage. Good luck!
I’m using CalyxOS, it comes with microG. I wish graphene supported microG, but they don’t.
I wish graphene supported microG. They’ve decided running closed-source Google (user-level app or not) is the best option, and I disagree.
I’m glad there’s options though.
😂
