Older brother wrapped up his old dirty shoes for me for Christmas.
He thought it was hilarious.

Crazy, they’re basically saying, ‘we know this is impossible so just do your best, as long as you remit everything you collect then it doesn’t really matter what/how you collect’.
This is very unfair to the small business because inevitably there will be some customers who will be pissed off when the store doesn’t collect properly, and small business won’t even come close to doing it correctly.
Making temporary short term massive changes to taxation is a very dumb idea. Canada must be drinking uncle Sam’s koolaid to be acting this foolish.
It would cost thousands in labor to set up temporary tax rates based on alcohol content. Most systems have tax rates which apply to product categories, not alcohol content. Liquor store pos systems in the US, at least in my state, typically don’t even store the abv in the price book, which would make this taxation virtually impossible to comply with.
Are there any people in your family that are not obese that have chronic pain? If not then I’ll bet it’s closer to 100% due to obesity.
You only get one life to live… eat right and exercise, you can do it! I am half way to my target weight after 6 months of busting my ass and I feel a million times better.
This indeed would probably do the trick
So discussion of jury nullification is ok as a general topic. If someone mentions JN in the context of a crime that has not yet been committed then that’s not ok. If the crime has already been committed then that’s ok. If the crime is not violent in nature then we can discuss JN, and if we are just having a general conversation about JN that’s ok too.
Specifically, the concern is that talking about JN in the context of some hypothetical violent crime that has not yet been committed could be interpreted as advocating for violence.
This sounds pretty stupid so far, but my question is then, why wrap the ToS around specifically jury nullification? Why not just reiterate the ‘no advocating for violence’ policy.
If someone is advocating for violence, then adding on some point about jury nullification is irrelevant, they are already breaking the rule.
Notepad ++ is invaluable for writing code, I’ve used it for a long while now.
Also great is paint dot net which is a super advanced paint application that is borderline as good as photo shop, particularly when you add on all the community-created functionality.
Revo uninstaller is the first thing I put on a new machine before I delete all the bloatware that comes with a fresh install of windows. You would be surprised what is left over when you only use the built in ‘remove a program’ process.
Lastly, browser based but free and excellent, is sketch up, which is an architectural rendering application great for designing restaurants and retail spaces. A little bit of a learning curve but very smooth and functional once you get the hang of it.
Edit - VLC goes without saying right?
Because if we were all somewhere else, you would be asking the same question about that place.
“This is rather as if you imagine a puddle waking up one morning and thinking, ‘This is an interesting world I find myself in — an interesting hole I find myself in — fits me rather neatly, doesn’t it? In fact it fits me staggeringly well, must have been made to have me in it!’ This is such a powerful idea that as the sun rises in the sky and the air heats up and as, gradually, the puddle gets smaller and smaller, frantically hanging on to the notion that everything’s going to be alright, because this world was meant to have him in it, was built to have him in it; so the moment he disappears catches him rather by surprise. I think this may be something we need to be on the watch out for.”
Hate to be a shill, but were they of the Bic brand or were they shitty knock offs?
Lighters last a super long time and they don’t contain batteries which is the real concern.
If you are in pain now, you will love it when they are finished with the root canal. I have had six of them over the years, and every time I went from feeling absolutely horrible to 100% in the 1 hour it took them to do the operation.
The only thing that is not comfortable are the initial numbing shots.
Make sure they get you good and numb. If you have any doubt as to whether you need another shot, just get another shot.
After 3 or 4 or 5 shots of numbing agent, you won’t feel a thing.
Once the numbing wears off you will feel totally fine.
It’s really not that bad, much better than living with tooth pain.
Also, ask for a big gloop of topical anesthetic where they are planning to do the injections, it helps a little bit.
Lastly, ask for 10 milligrams of diazepam if you have someone to drive you. A little benzo to take the edge off goes a super long way and dentists have no problem prescribing it. Have the dentist prescribe it and take it 1 hour before the appointment. I am 200lbs and 10mg does the trick.
Walz did a great job, I am super happy.
I like how Walz chose not to dig into Vance too much, but instead he focused on a return to some sort of a normal functioning government.
Even some republicans are tired of the war between the left and right, and some of those who publicly identify as trump supporters may secretly vote for Harris simply because they do not want to continue to be at odds with their left wing family members.
Some republicans might recall a time when they were the patriotic ones, loving their football, their police, and their country. Now the party of trump is being told that football is woke, that the police are weak, and that the country is a shithole.
I think some of them miss what the Republican party used to be.
Even if it is just 5 percent of trump voters, Walz did a great job sending the message that it’s time we come together as a country and start making progress where it can be made, rather than feeding into the identity politics game of mud slinging.
Vance and his ilk wear their atrocious views on their sleeves, we don’t need to waste any time pointing out how terrible they are, we need to instead focus entirely on what we can accomplish together.
Everyone who is eligible needs to vote this time around, let’s all do our part to make it a landslide.
I love old movies. Here are 15 great ones. Watch these and you will love old movies too! Most are available on internet archive. I could probably add another 85 to this list.
Edit: bonus movie
The worst part of retail/food service is the inescapable feeling of dread when you stare down the endless abyss of being stuck in that job day in and day out, forever, until you die. Only by resigning yourself to that fate does one gain the perspective needed to truly sympathize with the working class.
Arbor Day! Trees ftw!
Office Depot. They are still using IBM machines from the 90s with receipt printers the size of a shoebox.
Chill, I conceded that $5 might be good in bumfuck Indiana. I didn’t call you stingy. I more or less just said that $5 seemed kinda low in this economy.
I am really only pushing the merits of the flat rate for delivery and percentage for dine in. The dollar amount of that flat rate can certainly be location adjusted.
I’ve noticed a lot of coffee shops have flat dollar amount tip suggestions lately, not percentage based. Your local pizza joint should try this.
That said, in bumfuck Indiana they probably are only delivering one or two pizzas an hour on average, so maybe $5 is stingy (:
Don’t take that last part too seriously, it is intended as a comical statement.
I’m sure you’re right, those pizza delivery millionaires have us all fooled, but not you my friend.
In all seriousness… if $12/hour after expenses is a livable wage in bumfuck Indiana then that is not representative of the rest of the US.
I actually have another one… my now father in law, back when I first meet my wife, got me an empty dvd case of some random D movie nobody has ever heard of from the dollar bin at Walmart.
Somehow the dvd was plastic wrap sealed and still had the $1 sticker on it, but I later opened the case up and it was empty.
I initially took offense, because it really seemed like an insult, but it turns out that 14 Christmas holidays later and he still gets weird random useless stuff for everyone for Christmas, it wasn’t just me.
