Depends. Are we also depressed? Is there actual anxiety tied in with that flippant apparent physical lethargy? How hot is this fire?
If you want us to do something with some consistency make us feel obligated or change it enough to keep it interesting.
I don’t feel it’ll go anywhere either. Flip side is always whether people are having fun. People having fun rarely complain meaningfully. Meaaaning money still flows.
Obfuscation. Corporate figures telling or giving people the option will hurt their feelings so they’ll stop playing. A player who quits is no longer a tier two type with the potential to spend money, so they’ll only do this if it becomes a PR nightmare that affects their bottom line.
It’s fine to ask your team to bear the burden with appropriate compensation on a timeline of hiring to build out a longer, more sustained work week. Do it right and you’ll even gain respect, just gotta follow-thru and be open and honest about the difficulties, while acknowledging and working with your team. Then also be present consistently during this transition phase and either help if you can, or stay out of the way if you can’t.

I’m trying to figure out why you’re being downvoted. It’s possible I’m ignorant. However, it was my understanding that for the average individual in the U.S. we do have some of the lowest tax-to-GDP in the world. This is, of course, offset by drastic cost-of-living increases making any percentage of a tax increase an actual and substantial barrier. That said, any tax increase should come out of the top 10%. Everyone else has been paying the price for far too long.
I don’t disagree with why, I do disagree with the timing. Yes, it was a hardline issue and yes the Dems should have absolutely done whatever they could to deal with it. What I cannot and will never forgive is risking the fucking planet by placing a very likely dictator into the seat of global military superiority. Fucking vote Harris in and then we have four years of dropkicking every politician we see to deal with it.
Now there is every chance that conflict will worsen, or end abruptly.
Four years to work together and make positive change by not constantly bickering. Instead we have several States and governers vouching to protect our rights and your fucking neighbors against the President and his cronies.

Eh, he’s been pretty good over all. We’ve had better, though the list of worse Presidents is a bit longer. Over all, Joe did step up and get more done than expected for what felt like a forced square into a round hole situation. What he might not have done was solve YOUR issues.
The issue wasn’t his full term. The issue became his last handful of months and the absolute atrocity that is the DNC communication strategy.
What probably happened is Corporate overlords leadership opted for an easier-to-create game direction while also attempting to diversify the game’s base. Basically, and I may be eating my words as we learn more about the game, I’d expect them to have reduced the cost to create while also attempting to increase profit.
I base this off of other games which have attempted similar feats, and I’m not sure of a single one that was part of a larger series that has turned out well.
Sooooo depends on what you’re using them for. Very few shoes will hold up to retail work, for instance. So 3-6 months for one reviewer without context could be 2 years for you.
Pokemon effectively makes them all the money they need and all they need to do is sick one of the rabid lawyers they keep in the basement on anyone even remotely infringing upon what they think they own.

Anyway, I don’t know how individual companies do what. I don’t work for them. I don’t have insider knowledge. I do know how companies are typically structured and the traps nearly every company experiences as they grow, both in revenue and often consequently in manpower.
I’m not going to dive into it. This is a pretty easy topic to find on many search engines and Youtube where they’ll probably go more in-depth than I can with a limited attention span and two thumbs.
The high base level costs aren’t due purely to development, I’d wager. How many admin staff, redundant management, petty meetings, and exorbitant costs go to overhead that could be solved with a 20 minute meeting and less triple expressos for the executive team?
Moreover, chances are we could find several issues with the flow of work around the development of the game itself. Poorly optimized communication, for the win.

I’ve had it for AGES. I agree that ads have been a bit much and many websites almost unusable without Origin. YT Premium though has been fairly solid with a couple hiccups.
Admittedly, I use YouTube as my primary source of entertainment. So the price is easily justified vs other services.

Games that are p2w exist in a symbiotic relationship with people who are willing to spend copious amounts of money. The people who don’t spend money and still exist within these games help fill in the environment. ALL players of these games are the problem.
Mobile games are the most common example of this, though other games fall under similar banners. The truth is any free game with live service needs money to operate. Hell, even that fan-run DBZ MMO has costs associated with it that the community helps fund. This won’t go away, it’ll just disguise itself as something else.
I do believe, however, that for larger games the bloated cost of development needs to fuck right off. 100mil and 5 years or more? There is a logistical issue there that needs to be addressed. One of many, I’m afraid.
That little clicker in the brain that goes off when you’ve had enough doesn’t really work for me. I have to feel physically full or I still feel hungry. Even worse, my dopamine levels are garbage and eating makes me feel good.
