I wish Kagi wasn’t as expensive as it is.
If it was $5 a month for unlimited searches I would be all over it but 300 searches is too few and $10 is too much money.

Pfttt… at least with DDG you can turn any of that stuff off with a button in a UI rather than having to make a new bookmark or fuck around with your browsers search engine.
You can even turn the ads off if you want.
Also, Apple Maps is totally fine, it’s not overloaded with ads like Google Maps is and it basically always finds the place I search for.
Agreed.
I would be hyped to play a new version of actual Marathon, it’s a game that existed before my time and was only on Mac before they were cool so basically no one played it.
This is just a different skin on a genre that has no interest whatsoever to me.
Take out is probably OK but as OP has experienced, you won’t always get the freshest food.
Dining in and you’re basically just annoying people.
I’m in the UK, we have a system for switching ISPs that is apparently relatively painless so I’ve started that process but it’s apparently going to be another 2 weeks before the switch can happen :(
This had already gone past the first level “customer service” level to the 2nd level “technical support” team who sat on it for a couple of weeks, they’ve apparently now escalated it again and they’re waiting for their “network team” to take a look at it.
I’ve basically lost all hope with them at this point.
Too late then, I’m afraid you got the crew who were more concerned about getting home at a slightly more healthy hour than giving you fresh food.
Never go in to any restaurant past 9pm unless it’s in a busy metro area and there are other people about or you are getting food that caters to drunk and high people that can be taken away.
Honestly, it’s 9pm so unless the store is 24 hours (and even if it is) then they’ll be trying to close down a clean up and get things ready for the morning shift which starts early.
When I worked at McDs years ago a few big orders deciding to sit in the restaurant around 9pm could mean the difference between getting to go home at 12:30 and getting an OK nights sleep vs getting to go home at 2:30 and getting a terrible nights sleep before they might have to come in at 10am the next day.
You could argue that if they didn’t want customers at that time then they shouldn’t be open - which I would agree with - but obviously the low level grunts making your food don’t get to make those decisions.
It would have probably been pretty fun to play, but I do wish Bungie would one day get back to a single player narrative focused stories rather than building more multiplayer games…
Quick PSA: they don’t currently block VPNs, so you can sign up for an account in a cheap country (I picked Nigeria) and use a foreign currency debit card (I use Revolut) to get Premium for like £1.50 a month for my entire family.
If they close that loophole then I think I’ll be done with it, the ads make it basically unusable these days.
/r/webdev and /r/formulae are the main ones I miss.
This is how I do it.
I pay for Netflix, Prime (only really for the free shipping), Disney+, Apple TV+ and Spotify, if it’s not on any of these then I’m going to pirate it.
The whole exclusivity stuff is just rubbish, I get the reasoning but if you can’t make your content easily accessible then I just don’t want to pay for it.
YSK that YouTube Premium can be bought over a VPN for a whole lot less than the regular retail price, it’s a bit fiddly to set up but I’ve got a Nigerian based family account that costs me £1.76 a month.
Both of these.
American Gods really pissed me off though if they had stuck to the books it could have been an amazing series with great characters and weird but fun storylines in a unique setting. But they added too much stuff and there was a total mess with the show runners leaving so it all sort of fell apart before one of the best plot lines of the whole story.
I kinda want to rewatch it again someday though…
I have friends who are big time LOTR fans who absolutely hate it and didn’t get past the first couple of episodes.
Me - who has no context around the whole thing - found it kinda entertaining :/
If you want to move them elsewhere(or even just get a csv export of them) there are apps for that.
https://freeyourmusic.com will let you pay a one time fee to do it to as many services as you want, it’s a bit slow but it’ll get there eventually.
As a Brit this seems like such a ridiculous attitude to have.
When you go out for food you are paying for:
If you’re dining in you also get:
If you are getting delivery you instead pay for someone to bring it to you.
The food itself is like 40% of what you’re paying for, the rest is just convenience and atmosphere.
Well, it’s pretty shitty that they introduced it in the first place, but this is a great way to respond.
Tbh, I could see a case where a new marketing exec asked for it to be added and the dev team hated the idea so had a rollback plan ready to go in case things went south.
Obvious answer is obvious
Fight Club
I guess YMMV, I just tried a few places around me (UK) and it found them all. You can also defiantly tap on a place to select it.
Did you try it recently or a while ago? I know it was pretty woeful when it came out but it’s improved a whole lot over the years.
