Haha thanks! It’s a £90 IKEA table that we’ve had for over 10 years now. The cats doing her fair share of damage to it, second only to copious amounts of porridge that never finds its way into the children’s* mouths!
**^Maybe mine too^
Exactly what I said to them!
We’ve been using Ocado these past few weeks and ordered 7 bananas.
Turns out I forgot you can’t order individual items and this turned up:

Enjoy! You’ve got a bit unlucky with the weather though!
I had a long span of about 12 weeks earlier in the year of not working 5 days a week due to bank holidays and taking time off. Was a shock to the system to do 5 days again!
I really hate these early dark evenings, can we skip forward to spring already?
It was fine cheers, honestly pretty uneventful.
I started playing Satisfactory and have been pretty hooked (I was up till 2am Sunday morning, after the clocks had gone back) playing, I haven’t played a game like that for a loooooong time (like 15+ years). My son loves it too so it’s been great talking with him about various strategies!
I haven’t heard of the V&A museum! What’s in it? Glad the kids had fun, that’s pretty much always the metric for success as a parent!
Running is OK. I’m still carrying some kind of calf soreness that flares up after a couple of runs a week. It’s a bit demotivating and I really should see someone about it, but… I’m lazy.

So a British university in China follows and respects Chinese traditions/ ceremonies /laws and they’re called bad/evil.
I’m assuming the students aren’t Chinese due to the wording of “having to follow the same rules as homegrown students”, so yes forcing non Chinese people to pledge allegence to the political party and attend parades is bad, whether it’s tradition or not. It’s just weird.
It would be equally bad if we forced foreign students to participate in our traditions (whatever they are), especially making them pledge allegence to a political party.
But If there was a Chinese university over here and they refused to follow British traditions and ceremonies and laws they would be kicked out.
No they wouldn’t, they’d turn a blind eye and keep accepting money.
Same! For our team we were pretty much dead in the water for a while, so was a rather calm start to the day.
It was OK ta. Mrs was away for most of the week so it was just me and the kids, it went a lot smoother than I expected!
Digging holes in the ground takes so much effort, it’s way harder than it looks!
What happens in that situation if someone were to injure themselves leaning on your wall and it collapses? I’m guessing you’re liable?
Nice work on doing it yourself! I’m always terrified of doing stuff like that and making a huge mess of it.
If you’ve added too much water, can’t you add more cement to thicken it up? I have no idea what I’m talking about so just a wild guess!

Will I have to sell my kidneys to afford the travel?
Good work. Sad that these dickheads are taking them down though, but not surprising.

I’d have preferred it if he got stabbed until he was critical, recovered and then repeated again and again.
How’s yours?
Copying and pasting from another comment because I’m lazy 🙈
It was OK cheers, mixed bag really. My dad’s health isn’t great and I’m having to do more and more for him. He can barely walk and is overweight but just keeps rejecting any ideas we have that will help him. I fear he’s going to have some kind of accident and the decision making will be out of his hands.
Had a work trip to London for a few days though which was nice, had a bit of a game day one day with various people from across the org so a good chance to meet new people you wouldn’t normally meet, and also an all paid for bar in the evening. Generally just nice to get away for a bit and chat (I work remotely so don’t physically see my colleagues that often!)
Glad you had an awesome week!

They probably already know.
But I hope that it’s his team that has this power, not just solely on him. I’d have to imagine (HOPE) that there’s a chain of command and some kind of playbook that whoever is in charge can authorise and act on whatever needs doing in such situations.

The meal planning app that I use got bought out by Samsung and they did this. Put a load of ads in and then advertised a “+” version that got rid of ads. The ads were just advertising the “+” feature. 12 months later they said they were going to remove the ads for everyone.

I do like the idea of permits. Landlords must have a permit per property within a local authority (LA) and reject applications if they see fit, such as having too many permits already or blacklisted. The LA should be free to set whatever cost they want per permit. Tennants can raise issues in a centralised portal where the landlord can view them and resolve them, and if they’re not actioned upon or done properly the LA can intervene and start charging additional fines, or failure to deal with serious issues like mould could see the LA taking possession of the property.
The LA set the rental price so landlords don’t just wack up rent prices.
This might provide some income for cash strapped councils without having to purchase their own housing stock and managing it.
There could even be some funds available for well rated landlords that have to use the money to improve properties as an incentive to be proactive in their repairs etc.
It’s been ok ta. Only managed one run. Took my son to play badminton on Saturday though which was fun! Enjoyed the F1 this weekend, have to you managed to catch up?
I’m definitely looking forward to more sunlight and warmth!
