The year isn’t over. Playstation does this too. Are they stupid?

Game was so boring, so slow, so clunky, so bleak, I never made it that far. Tried twice over the years. I want to like it. It seems great, but then actually playing it becomes a chore quickly.
Ani, have you always been such a whiny bitch?
Donating is idiotic. End of story. If you donate to anything, you’re a moron.
My childhood. I don’t understand people who do. Mine was mostly loneliness, confusion, trauma, emotional neglect, guilt, shame, some abandonment, some physical abuse, etc. Every day has been a step towards better than the previous. I don’t want to or miss anything going backwards.
Read more history, even just the last 1-200 years. Really dig in to the shit they don’t get into in school. What you’ll find is that times have always been “troubling” and if anything I think there’s a selfishness some people have when they always focus on somehow NOW is the worst time ever and NOW is when things are terrible and everything good will somehow end.
Honestly, whatever you think is “troubling” nowadays probably isn’t even new or the first time. But so many people don’t understand just how fucked up all of history has been and yet people and countries and cultures survived.
If anything, life today in general for most is far better than in all of human history. Due to advancements in technology and medicine, most people don’t have to worry about basic survival things the same way they might have even just 100 years ago.
The same one that was installed on people’s devices without their knowledge or consent? I think you’re avoiding the real issue there.
My issue is that most mom & pop shops suck. Local places often have horrid customer service or business practices and are run by people who have no business running businesses. Very few are legitimately good.
And it’s not just where I live now. This has been the case everywhere I have lived.
It’s why I hate the blanket “support local” bs.
Every company everywhere is doing that. There are ways to limit things and be okay with it.
If companies using your data and pushing gambling bothers you, go live off the grid.
As a long time Steam user, while I still really like Steam and think it’s the more consumer friendly platform, it has devolved greatly. Especially discussion forums are nearly no different than reddit toxicity where people exhibit their worst behaviors. I miss the legitimate discussions and love for specific games. Now it’s mostly complaining and complete disregard for developers being humans.
The flood of garbage games has also been fairly obvious over the last decade. Some filters on your account handle a lot of this at least for the adult ones, but not all of it. It reminds me of the Wii shovelware era, but far worse.
BUT I would remind the Senator they STILL don’t even have a fucking budget passed for this fiscal year we are already a month and a half into and they oughta stay in their lane and do their first basic god damn job before pointing at the supposed failures of others.
Since I was a child. Religious nutjobs in and around my family. Then I became an adult and it’s all I see from people in response to news.
It gets old so I try to tune out, remove toxic people, and focus on enjoying my life.
Spartan: Total Warrior from the PS2 & Gamecube was I think an underrated or missed gem.
You don’t exactly play as a lot of mythological things, but it tells a great story with action combat around a lot of really cool mythology. Some of the bosses were incredibly cool.
Mine play the heck out of the Wii U and the DS. I still am occasionally acquiring and playing a new Vita game almost yearly.
I now play my Steam Deck most of the time and the PS5 hardly gets touched.
A lot of Ys games. Certain Metal Gear games in a way have NG+ with carryover stuff.
More games need a solid NG+ that feels fun and rewarding.
How Keynesian.
It’s nice to see, but just some initial fooling around leaves more to be desired. There’s basic ease of use things that other recording systems have had for years that it seems to lack. Such as a quick and easy way to just say “save the last x minutes.”
No, you can either record far more than necessary and drop pins for later, or you can specify when to start and stop (as if you know when somethings coming up), or apparently grab only the last 10 seconds in a quick clip.
I prefer to save recent funny things, but sometimes they are varying time lengths. So it’s a tad disappointing, but it’s pretty cool for a start.
Also it’s already crashed my Steam Deck once within like 10 minutes of fooling around with it.
Like most Ys games, they’re a trudge at first, and some graphical letdown, but they’re still great stories with great characters. I remind myself to power through the beginning each Ys game and eventually find myself loving it.
Ys X Nordics. Tons of fun.
Are you not adding to it steadily?
Average index funds over the long term mathematically prove you wrong. Short term anecdotes don’t disprove 50-70 years of proof.
