I was only just old enough but this decade feels just like the 1970s. Nothing works, local monopolies taking the piss, strikes, and useless leaders and parties. With car insurance almost invariably automatically set to annually renew by the insurance company whether you want that or not, car insurance is a (disguised) subscription service.

Every money advice place esp Money Saving Expert dating look around annually, auto annual renewal should be illegal.
