As far as I can tell it’s a Spotify connect client which runs as a daemon so you probably need to control it remotely? Kinda like how AirPlay works on apple devices? Is that right?

Mac OS has never used X11 as a primary display system. Apple had a version they supplied with older Mac OS X versions for people using older Unix applications (and half-arsed ports) but that’s been unsupported since 2012. You can install the modern “XQuartz” open source equivalent, but it’s still secondary.

I had one of those “fancy” Vodafone routers included with my broadband which had a stupid rule set on choosing the WiFi password. It’s my network, not yours, stupid router. It can be as insecure as I want.
Anyway the rules were enforced by the JavaScript so it was easy to bypass until I got my own router to replace it with.

I have a UDR and it’s pretty great. I have had one unknown failure once, which needed a physical reboot. And that’s been in two or so years.

AFAIK it’s pretty much the same - and in fact they moved because they ran out of space in the older locations! They have to keep stuff for some minimum amount of time I think.
And the best advice I can give anyone on this: write down your phone’s IMEI, it makes identifying it much easier.

My hair is thick and waist length. In the summer months I have to have it tied up somehow or I overheat, much to the annoyance of people in my life who like to see it down 😅
I’ve considered trying natural lightening techniques (some people say lemon juice, others in my family with similar hair say it works) to lighten it to reduce the heat. Maybe this year I’ll give it a go.
One other thing I’ll say is that if you’re already hot, adding volume makes it worse as it traps warm air
