Agree , ubuntu, mint and popos are just works distros with max number of apps available , flatpak ( tho controversial in the linux community) has also given good option for just works distros to be user friendly ! My non technical family members have been using linux for years now without any issues !

Ecactly , even though my work can be done better on a linux pc ( I am a dev) , my office has provided me with windows , since they have some group admin policy and shiz !
Tbh telegram has had meesages stored on cloud since long , however whatsapp does not even give proper backups
U dont need command line on most just works distros for average use ! My brother and my mom use linux mint and ubuntu on their PCs and it just works !

Totally firefox , librewolf is rather a hardened firefox , with few features we can tweak in FF already !

Many employers in my country are now just giving a raise to their senior executives , management and above , while keeping the low level employee wages stagnant !
I have actually used adguard for dns and few other things and i dont remember need to give them my mail id , nor do i get any mails from them

5·1 year agoI use mint on my PC , for its stability , and since all ubuntu software are supported , it is pretty great software selection wise too !
I will try it soon again !

Ah this is much needed response ! I switched servers but lemmy.world is still my go to server , it was down so much that I had to try alternative ones ! Good it know its not a load issue !
Takes a while , too much effort to keep using an OS 😅
