There’s a lot of good arguments out there. Pong for being the “first”, Pac-Man for making arcades insane and bringing in big money, Tetris for its wide appeal, Mario 64 for convincing everyone 3d games work, Doom for popularizing the fps, Wii Sports for its ubiquity, Farmville for starting what would become mobile games (which as much as gamers hate to admit, they make more money than every other platform combined). Unfortunately, yeah. The more you let people walk over you the more comfortable they get doing it. Being blunt is a good way to stop that kind of behavior, when someone is rude asking direct questions like “why are you saying that about them?” makes people uncomfortable and will get them to stop dragging you into drama. Especially in today’s American climate people feel emboldened to attack people they see as “weak” so you need to not appear “weak” and (this is the much more difficult part) stand up for everyone else who the bullies are targeting

No. A small woman who has effectively zero experience with liquor should not drink 4 to 6 daiquiris in public in one night. I wouldn’t even suggest she go above 3 without a chaperone

Are they? These seem to be completely different products to me. One has caffeine and artificial sugar whereas the other has neither. I’d have a hard time believing these are the same products and not just similar ones with confusing names

Reminder: steam deck verified has to do with the game launching and having gamepad support. Performance doesn’t matter that much. Wait until you see benchmarks before you make decisions, the game can still run like shit on steam deck

Yes. The American populace has very low political IQ, a short memory, and is very emotional. 2001 was 23 years ago, entire people were conceived, raised, and voted in that time. You have to understand that the majority of control of this country is decided on whims, opinions, and gas prices

Founder’s Day. That movie fucking sucks. To quote Community “if you conspire with everyone then there’s no conspiracy, you’re just helping people.” Everyone seems to be betraying everyone for no discernable gain, none of the actors seem to be aware that they’re in the same genre as their costars, and it’s never clear whose side your on. Finally the mastermind of this scheme has what I call “the Palpatine problem.” If you’re capable of manipulating every side of a conflict in such a way that they all die and you’re left in power… aren’t you already effectively in control of everything? And isn’t it smarter to rule behind the scenes where you don’t have a target on your back AND you aren’t responsible for a bunch of serious crimes AND is it really important to you to explain your grand plans to a teenager? What do you gain from setting these events in motion? It’s a stupid ass movie, and I watch a lot of movies

However, this is kind of exactly what I’m talking about. You’re saying I can use plex, or jellyfin, or kodi, with all the opperating systems (but not?) and you say I can stream to smart TVs, are Chromecasts smart? I can follow instructions, I just don’t understand how this technology stack works together. Nobody even tells me what Linux distro to use!
