I loved SmartTube, but I moved away from my Android TV when Google started saying they are not going to allow side loading apps. Google has walked back that policy a bit, but I am much happier now with my alternatives and the knowledge that Google can’t wreck them with their future bull shit.

That said SmartTube is a goat and it is sad to hear that such a great app has been compromised like this.

The new stadiums are another factor that really is ruining sports for me. In my city they are building a new one for the hockey team and it is mostly paid by taxes. So our property taxes are going to sky rocket to build this thing and then they will jack up the game ticket prices so we cannot even afford to go to games.

They sold it to the public as this was going to be a community building, which is such garbage. Am I going to be able to go down there when no games are happening and skate on the rink? Of course not

Last year I went to the league championship of my local lower level pro soccer club. Tickets were $40 each for good seats and it was a sell out. Our team won and it was honestly a blast.

I don’t know that I would have had a better time at a top tier pro sports final that would have cost thousands to attend.

I’m glad you brought this up, because this is another great point related to the time suck. I have two kids now and every hour I spend watching sports is an hour not spent with my kids or being an absent parent. Makes it hard to justify.

Great game. I played the heck out of it when it came out and go back from time to time. The DLC is really great too. Like a whole other game with a seperate map and story. They also give you a buggy to drive and personalise. Awesome to run over zombies

I was using xmanager for a long time, then I moved on from Spotify altogether. I think it depends on how you use Spotify. I was really trying to hold onto streaming music because I didn’t want to loose my playlists, but when I looked at my Wrapped every year, I was listening to the same artists and songs alot of the time.

For me it made more sense to buy the music I loved, rather than pay a monthly fee to listen to the same tracks. Now I have a great currated music collection on my phone that I control. If you decide to buy music, 7digital and Bandcamp are great.
