Airlines do in fact use excess cargo space to ship things for shipping companies / postal services. I’ve also heard before (I can’t verify though), that airlines are more than happy to leave your luggage behind if it means they can squeeze on one more piece of cargo since the cargo makes them much more money than they otherwise would have to pay you for delaying your luggage.

This is the game that got me really back into craving gaming again. I hadn’t played for months and months (maybe years), but this game got me hooked again.
I don’t have an answer for this, but I wonder if something for this could be set up with a docker container. I know LinuxServer.io has a really good image system where you can run a container with “mods”. For example, you might be able to run their base Ubuntu / Fedora / Alpine image and then customizing it to run your script as a service / cron job / systemd service.

My last eReader purchase was the Kobo Clara 2E and it’s fantastic. I got one for my dad as well. I love the fact that you can use it completely offline and without any account.
Then they announced a partnership with IFixIt, and that cemented for me (barring any changes), that my next eReader will also be another Kobo… though with this partnership I expect that to be a long time down the road.
Only options available to me on the work computer are Chrome and Edge. FWIW, I use Edge, but still I understand the choice between the two.

It doesn’t help our friends in the EU, but I’m hopeful that the CFPB’s “Open Banking” rules might actually make it possible to do this with an open source product with OAuth and common APIs rather than these aggregators that are just web scraping your bank.

I gotta disagree with you there, my online life is by far more convenient now that I have it all organized and stored in a password manager. So much less to remember and so many fewer roadblocks now that I don’t have to remember usernames and passwords.
Even my mom swears by how much more convenient it is to have a password manager and she’s not what you would call “tech savvy”
This is a pretty terrible take… if you take just a little bit of time to set up a password manager and use the browser plugin it is all just one password away. I actively seek out additional 2FA because it’s just simple and seamless, where my password manager will put the TOTP code on my clipboard ready to paste, or it’ll automatically pop up when the site asks for a passkey (like Google, referenced in the article).
Just sounds like this dude is whining about a problem that he doesn’t want to solve for himself.
Scenario 5: put it all in one big long docker-compose.yml and cross your fingers that docker isolation does its job.
