Careful, I’ve read that hop roots can go lateral and push up or break concrete in its way. They can live a long time and have plenty of ways to ruin a nice concrete pour. They become tough and gnarly, like tree roots.

Lookin fab, just be patient with them, they won’t give you many cones until the third year. My one Cascade survivor finally made it there.
“Ten Acres Enough” really helped me to put all the work on our 2 acres into a long term perspective.
Bless your one cute lil tooth, I haven’t caught up with YIAY in a year. Thanks for the reminder, need to get back
Morning sun is also critical for all the plants you mentioned. They’re sun addicts.
Transplant them “as is” into pots, if there’s no other way to get them into a spot that is sunny for most of the day. No need to start over. You could also provide them with more light where they sit now, by pruning back any tree branches or taller plants that are adding shade, etc.
The back bed marigolds might not be getting enough sunlight, that could cause leaf discoloration and failure to thrive. While they’re small, it is a good time to transplant them or pot them up and put them in the sunniest spot you can find.
Stunning!
I will definitely follow up, wonderful use of space.
The Brownies? I need context. If you are planting fresh baked brownies, I have another use for them. ;)
I know, it’s such a rush, especially when you give up on something germinating and then realize it’s very much alive
We have to cover crop here, otherwise the soil amendments just blow away, along with the topsoil. Northern edge of USDA zone 7, the wind has been brutal.
