    The trick that I’ve used also works for OCD: Say it to yourself. “The door is locked.”

    Works pretty well.

      Speaking it out loud is a great way to remember many things.

      “Keys, wallet, phone” as you get ready.

      “Door’s locked” as you leave.

      “Oven’s off”

      Etc

        *Anything common. Sure your thoughts on the technical subject that is your work or hobby are unique

      I also need to do this occasionally, even though I never leave without locking I still need to consciously remind myself of the fact
