Quite a few changes were made to the manifesto, especially after the Paris Commune, but it’s also more of a propaganda leaflet to advertise the party platform, not a work of legal code nor an extensive exposition on Marxism. There’s also been numerous updates on Marxism over the years, most notably but not exclusively from Lenin, and socialist states have gone through numerous revisions in their legal code over the years as well.
