Every time Trump tells a reporter that the media is being mean to Trump the reporter should simply state that one of the most powerful men in the world is not a fucking victim. Trump chose to run for president. Trump was and is not forced to be president.
Make Trump state that the media makes him a victim. Ask Trump what being a victim is like. Get him talking about his use of his perceived weakness as a weapon to do harm.

^ This is why that doesn’t work. You can’t pin Trump down and force him to acknowledge anything, he will just pivot into the victim, and in the end he’s the one at a podium. What reporters need to do is write up actual fact-checking, hard-hitting articles calling out Trump, instead of just relaying quotes and acting like they’ve done their job. You don’t need to argue with him about whether he’s a victim, you need to relentlessly attack him in the press.
