A group of developers have managed to resurrect Concord after it was shut down by Sony, with the online multiplayer title now working off customer servers.
Game preservation. The fact that Sony is scrambling to DMCA videos of this preservation effort is proof that it is not just a forgettable turd, it’s a historical landmark.
Much like ET for the Atari 2600, Concord is and will remain a case study for the downfall of the big game studios in the 2020s.
Even though I thought the game was stupid, I am happy this is happening. Not only is it good for consumers to be able to access what they pay for, but also it makes the stain of this game sting Sony more, and I think that’s worth having to see this game at all.
