I wouldn’t say better, it is all based on preference. And it was already mentioned.

Amazing design. It also appears to be on the AUR as well if anyone is interested: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/mousam
Yes I am the next Picasso!
Neither are incorrect, that’s the point
No. 1 and no. 4 are both extremely relatable, the day always starts with good prospects, but ends with “what the heck happened!?”
Any distro should work just fine, so the typical three: Debian, Fedora, Arch, or something else. Gnome 46 supposedly added support for Microsoft accounts as well as onedrive in the Nautilus file manager, so you should be able to “store all of your data.”
This is O’Brien type stuff
It’s really good, the only thing I’d complain about is that sometimes it takes up large amounts of space. Aside from that it is not bad in the least
It may be an issue with the app Memmy, but I now have a score of zero, not three thousand. It’s not a huge issue at all, just something I noticed.
I think you lose access to all digital items purchased on the eshop when banned. So it can affect users regardless of if they have the subscription or not. It is quite serious.
Pros: Make backups of your physical games and play them digitally (or sail the 7 seas). Homebrew like emulators, ports. Game modding, overclocking, fps unlocking. You can even install Android, and Linux on a modded switch.
Cons: at risk of getting banned, possibly violating your warranty. Bricks are also possible if the mod is done incorrectly, but the chances are very low unless doing a hardmod.
I use a modded v1 switch currently, and I highly recommend it. Just make sure to make emunand as a designated sandbox for homebrew and hacking stuff.
Maybe in the next 30 years ReactOS will reach a windows 10 level, hopefully sooner.
Mint doesn’t have to look outdated if you put a little work into it. Check out this fellow’s rice in unixporn: https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/comments/17dwneg/cinnamon_available_as_installable_iso/
Great point, however, I would rather have my posts be sent to like minded peers than to some walled-garden company like Reddit. Also, what data would any supposed malicious instance get that isn’t already available to the public? As for account names, text and images from posts, etc. aren’t these the very definition of social media? What kind of social media is not sharing text or images anyway?
While it may never be a reality, just imagine this: open source cars. The world would be a better place.
I feel right at home in the fediverse, it gives me a much more secure feeling than Reddit. Thank you devs for your hard work at creating a suitable alternative.
Instructions unclear, I now have smoke inhalation.
While I agree that the murder of the CEO can be morally justified in certain aspects, we have to face the facts. Murder is murder, and I believe glorification of it is wrong. Wouldn’t the killing of a CEO just lead to the appointment of another, making the whole thing pointless? It’s possible that a new CEO will do things differently, but they’d probably do more or less the same. In the end, all the murder achieves is CEOs fearing for their safety and eventually hiring bodyguards, making them even more disconnected from society, and even less likely to donate to charity or the poor. For these reasons, I think lemmy.world is doing the right thing, I don’t think that murder of anyone not convicted of war crimes should be glorified, I’d prefer to stay neutral on such topics.
