I’d visit the farm about a month a year growing up, before my g-grandparents sold it to move into town. gampy’d grow feed corn for the cattle so he could save a little, and when it was ripe we’d just pluck 'em off the field a few minutes before we were ready to cook. shittiest corn, but coming straight off the stalk it was better than anything I can find at a grocery store now.

Very nice! Home grown veg is like home brewed coffee in that regard, a poor home made one is better than a good shop bought one!
