I really like your kitchen table by the way – it looks like it has seen years of both Man and Wolf, and not only survived but thrived. I have a similar one and no joke its longevity and endurance makes it one of my most prizes possessions
Haha thanks! It’s a £90 IKEA table that we’ve had for over 10 years now. The cats doing her fair share of damage to it, second only to copious amounts of porridge that never finds its way into the children’s* mouths!
Old Ikea is Best Ikea. They (“Ikea”) literally do not build them to the same standard as they did 10 years ago. When I moved house, I brought all my seemingly-cheap-and-flimsy flatpack stuff with me at great cost, just because I knew I would not find anything of the same quality for the same price as what I paid for it
